After the incident with Hopper in the playground, Olivia made sure to avoid him at all cost. That was her plan, avoid going into town and his pestering questions, avoid getting into trouble that would lead her back in his office or worse, behind bars. That was her plan, it was a good plan, at least that's what she thought. It was going as planned, almost marking two days since she last crossed paths with him, unfortunately, she jinxed herself.

While walking down the dirt road with Jay, the sound of tires stopping beside them makes both siblings look up. 'You've got to be kidding me.' Olivia's jaw clenches as she stares at the man inside the cruiser.

"Need a lift?" Hopper calls from the drivers seat, shades on his face as he stares at both of them,

"Yeah sure-,"

"We're good," Both siblings say in sync, causing Olivia to give her brother the look before continuing down the dirt road,

"You sure? It's getting pretty late. Plus I'm heading down to the school might as well," Hopper offers once again, hand leaning against the passenger seat as he slightly cranes his head to peek out the window,

With an irritated growl Olivia responds sternly, "I said we're fine Hopper,"

"Oli," A whisper and a small hand pulling hers makes her stop, "Please? I-I have a test today,"

Olivia stares into her brothers eyes, slightly losing the firm look when Jay gives her a small lopsided smile. If it wasn't for Jay she would have already slipped into the woods, running till she knows he won't be able to reach her, but considering Jay is with her and just smoothly happened to give her a reason to accept the ride, even if she has a feeling it was a lie, Olivia goes ahead and looks over at the Chief. Who only puts the Blazer in park as he gestures his head to the trunk.

"C'mon put your bike in the back, kid," Hopper says as he climbs off the truck and walks over to the back,

Once it was loaded, Jay makes his way over towards the passenger side, big grin spreading on his face when he sees his older sister holding the door open with a tetchy look. She narrows her green eyes at him when she hears soft snickering coming from him as he climbs into the backseat. Just because they're already going through shit back home, Olivia is holding all the shit she wants to give her little brother right about now, so instead she rises her foot, letting it connect with Jay's which sends him tripping to the backseat of the cruiser. Olivia smirks with a faint chuckle when her baby brother glares at her as she too climbs in the front seat. She still has that shit eating smirk on her face when she shuts the door, but it fades as soon as she notices Hopper staring at her with a very amused raised brow.

She quickly looks away from his gaze, staring out the window instead, replacing her smile with the same scowl she had on not too long ago. Although, her jaw slightly clenches when she hears a deep, amusing chuckle beside her before feeling the cruiser moving down the dirt road. The whole car ride to the school was in silence, only the low music playing from the radio was keeping the tension around them.. somewhat bearable. Luckily the school was only 15 minutes away, but for Olivia it felt like a whole hour as they drove towards school grounds. She just wanted to get there already, being in the same car as him was not making things better. What if everyone saw her getting off the cruiser? Not just any cruiser, the town's Chiefs cruiser! If news really did travel fast here like Hopper said then Olivia was in deep shit back home.
