Still Bertram's POV
Bertram sighs as the young children come home. "Great," he mumbles under his breath, "I wonder what they'll be wanting me to do now."
"Hi, Bertram," the kids say in unison, which was somewhat unsettling to him. Bertram shudders at the view of the Ross kids.
"What would you like for me to do for you now? Want me to scrub your feet because you stepped in grass today? Or should I give you a manicure, because your nail chipped?" Bertram rudely asks them.
"Geez, Bertram. All we did was tell you hi," Emma said. Bertram scowls."Whatever you say, your royal highness," Bertram yells quietly. (Yes yes he yelled quietly.)
"C'mon, let's just go and do our homework," Ravi suggests.
"Ew, no," Luke replies immediately. "Maybe Jessie and I, can, eh, how about, go to the park." Luke winks at her.
"Ugh take a hint already, Luke," Jessie says as she walks to her room.
"Speaking of the park, let's go to the park!" Zuri exclaims, excitedly.
"But with who?" Emma asks. The kids then look over to Bertram.
"Ugh fine. But only for an hour or two. I have my daily," he mumbles something under his breath that no one could hear clearly, "at 6:00. Hurry up, let's go, let's go." He rushes the kids to the elevator and they quickly walk into the lobby.
"Hi, Tony," Zuri says. (I think that's his name I can't remember.)
"Why hello, Zuri. Going to the park I see?" Tony replies.
"We sure are," Zuri answers him, happily. "Care to join?""Can't," he says, "have to work."
"Right." Bertram and the kids walk out the door, held open for them by Tony.
"Call a cab," Bertram commands.
"But the park is only a few minutes away to walk to-" Emma says, before getting interrupted.
"Well you're rich enough to afford a cab ride to the park, and I don't have enough energy to walk. It was exhausting walking to the elevator and into the lobby," Bertram interrupts.
"O- Okay," Ravi says. "Taxi!" He waves his hand.
Time skip a few minutes ahead. Location: The park.
"Bertram, Bertram! Come ride on the swings with me!" Zuri yells.
"No. Ask someone else. Make a friend and ride with them, or something." Bertram tells her.
"Pleeeaaasseeee," Zuri pleads.
"Have Luke ride with you or something. Leave me alone."
"Okay," Zuri says, disappointed. "Luke," she sighs. "Will you ride on the swings with me?"
"I will! I will!" Ravi exclaims from afar.
"You will?" Zuri asks, with a smile.
"Of course! Anything for my little sister! I'll just have to leave Mr(s). Kipling with Bertram so he can watch him."
"Okay!" Zuri says, now happy someone will play with her. Ravi walks up to Bertram.
"Will you watch my lizard for me Bertram?" Ravi asks.
"No," Bertram tells him.
"Please? I need someone to watch him while I play with Zuri."
"Alright, fine."
"Yay! Thank you Bertie!" Ravi gave him a quick hug before running off to Zuri.
"Damn, these kids are so huggy. Especially Ravi," Bertram said under his breath as he shuddered.
Bertram decided to lay on the park bench as the kids played. "Excuse me! Sir! Sir!" a voice yelled. Bertram groaned, knowing the voice was calling to him. "Sir!" the voice yelled again, sounding slightly upset.
"What. What could you possibly want?" Bertram asked in a grouchy tone.
"Get the hell off my bench. This is my bench. I live here. Go find yourself somewhere else."
Bertram huffed as he got up from the bench and moving to another. He looked down at his watch. The watch read 5:45. "Have we been here for that long?" Bertram thought."Children, let's go, let's go. I have something in fifteen minutes. C'mon." Bertram called out to them. The Ross kids ran up to him.
"Where is Mr(s). Kipling?" Ravi asked, in a slightly worried tone."Ah, shit," Bertram mumbled under his breath, making sure the young children couldn't hear him. Bertram and the kids went looking for Mr(s). Kipling around the park. They soon heard a scream, knowing Mr(s). Kipling caused it.
"Someone has found him!" Ravi exclaimed, relieved. "Come on, let's go!" Ravi led everyone to where they heard the scream and soon saw the lizard, quickly running up to it. "Mr(s). Kipling! I thought I lost you!"
"Hurry it up, we need to go now," Bertram said, annoyed. "Call your cab, you can afford it."
At the apartment
Jessie yawns as she walks down the stairs. "Hello. Back from the park?"
"Obviously," Bertram replied, in a quite obvious upset tone. "I'm late! Dumb kids."At Bertram's appointment.
"Sorry I'm late. Ross kids took forever at the park," Bertram told the man.
"That's alright. Take off your shirt," the man replied. Bertram takes off his shirt and gets on the table. The man turns around, only to faint at the sight of Bertram's ridiculously hairy back.
"Guess that's it for my so-called relaxing massage," Bertram says, pulling his shirt back on. What a terrible day.
