Don't know if you remember but that's the Potter Manor

James suddenly pulled me outside to his patio.

"Uh. what are we doing here?" I asked, snuggling closer into him because it was freezing cold.

"I wanted to talk to you privately," he whispered, sitting down on a bench as he patted the seat next to him for me to sit down.

I sat down. "Now what?" I asked again.

James cupped my jaw and smiled. "I wanted to tell you that I like you. A lot," he whispered. We were so close that his breath hit my lips, making them tingle.

I bit my lips slightly, knowing it made him fluster. "Then what do you like about me?" I asked, not fully believing him.

I mean, how can anyone like me?

Jamess muttered a string of profanities before answering my question. "You're gorgeous," he said, shrugging.

I tilted my head in confusion. "That's all? Nothing about my character or..." I trailed off.

James grinned cheekily. "I mean, I do love your sarcasm and wit," he said.

I huffed and stood up. "I've heard that too many times, James Potter. Be unique," I muttered, turning away when James grabbed my wrist and turned me to him.

He leaned down slightly and pulled me closer. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that," he whispered. His breath fanned over my face and(I actually hated myself for doing this)I blushed a light red.

James leaned down a little more and I tilted my head up, my hands on his chest(cough, abs, cough)

"I also like how you're brutally truthful and how you knock people down 3 notches. I like how you smirk after you insult someone and smile when you see their reaction. I know this sounds really cheesy but I like you. A lot, Eva," he said, grinning slightly.

I smiled a little. "You'd be surprised that no one has ever told me that," I whispered back.

We smiled and leaned closer, our faces millimeters apart when Lupin burst in.

"Guys! It's the New Year's- Am i interrupting something?" he asked, looking between us.

James sighed a "No."

While I snapped a "Yes!"

Lupin just raised his hands and walked backwards to the house.

"Five!"

James pulled me closer still. "You look beautiful, Eva," he whispered.

"Four!"

I smirked slightly. "You've said that," I stated.

"Three!"

"I like you. A lot," James repeated.

"Two!"

"Maybe I kind of like you," I muttered.

"One!"

"Do I get a New Year's kiss?" James asked jokingly.

"Happy New Year!"

I smirked. "Sure," I whispered before leaning up and pulling James' tie so that he stumbled down. Meeting my lips in the middle.

James' eyes widened before his arms circled my waist and he kissed me back passionately.

I smiled into the kiss before I realized.

My parents would kill me if they knew.

I quickly broke apart, stumbling backwards.

James looked at me worriedly. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked.

My eyes darted to and fro. "I-no-yes-no-we...UGH!" I exclaimed before running into the house from the backdoor and running up the stairs into the guest room.

I slipped off my heels and laid it down on the bed. I couldn't stay here any longer. James Potter would mess up my brain. UGh! Why was my love life so confusing?!

I slipped off the dress and also laid it on the bed, pulling on a Puddlemere United hoodie, some green sweatpants, and converse's. I quickly waved my wand and everything placed itself inside my trunk. I got a pen(muggle thing)and some paper and wrote a quick note to the Potters.

Dear Potters,

Thank you for having me but I needed to go back home. I hope you have a great rest of the break with your family and I'm so sorry if I intruded the past two weeks.

With thanks,

Eva

I slapped it on the spare desk and climbed into the fireplace in my room, grabbing some floo powder and tossing it to the ground, clearly stating, "Auxatia Manor!"

I disappeared in a green light.

I thuded on the ground of the living room of Auxatia Manor. Hearing footsteps, I quickly straightened my outfit and stood up, only to be met by a sharp stinging pain on my back.

I refrained from screaming out, my back was burning. The hoodie wasn't all that thick.

"Where were you?!" my mother screeched. A belt studded with shards of something was in her hand.

I lifted my chin defiantly. "I was at none of your business, Mother," I replied icily.

Her hand came flying back and hit me sharply on my torso. I felt my hoodie rip. My 40 galleon hoodie that I had gotten signed by Oliver bloody Wood.

I quickly pulled off my sweater when she huffed and sauntered out, pulling on a knitted one that had a unripping charm on it.

I stuffed my puddlemere one back in my trunk, ignoring the two large gashes where blood was slowly trickling out.

As I walked up the grand staircase, I just blamed myself. How could I kiss him? I knew this was going to happen. We were never going to work. Like, ever.

This was a New Year's mistake.

Author's Note: One word. Oh Shit. Actually, that's two. Whatever. They're gonna figure it out, anyways(spoiler alert)
