Most of my kind would never take lightly to my sexual life with humans. But this is because there are few purebred elves left. When my mate died a thousand years ago, I lost any interest in reproducing any elfins. What was the use when I wouldn't have the man I loved around to help me nurture our younglings?

I trekked through the village with my hood down and my chin out. You could never let the humans see weakness, else they would pounce on you like prey. I smirked at the prospect.

Me? Prey? Snort.

I strut toward the assassins guild. I was running low on dimes for my next adventure into a tavern, so what better way to make money than to stalk something and then rip it limb from limb. Of that, my mother would be proud. I couldn't wait to get my hands around someone or somethings neck. Surely that would take the edge off.

Dom waited outside the guild with beefy arms crossed over chest. The last time I'd seen him, I had put him in the infirmary. The big bastard was a worthy opponent. If I was a human, he probably would have beaten me to within an inch of my life. But I'm not a human, I'm something better.

"Mornin' Dom."

Huff.

"Is that all I get any more?"

Huff.

"I swear if I weren't in such a good mood, I would have put you on your ass by now," I smirked when his narrowed eyes glared at my back as I passed him by.

The guild smelt of male sweat, ale and feet. Not the best smells on my sensitive nose. I cringed inwardly. What a disgusting place. That was yet another thing I missed of my brethren, they smelt heavenly even when exerting themselves with exercise.

Sam sat at the bar, his hawk-like eyes focused on me as I made my way towards the WANTED board. Nothing was challenging
, that I could observe. Just puny, weak humans. Why couldn't I find a worthy opponent anymore? What has a girl got to do to find a challenge?

Five, four, three, two, one.

"Find any worthy criminals this time, Tamara?" Sam quizzed, sidling up to me from out of nowhere.

"Think Grundy looks promising." He didn't, not with my superiorness.

I grinned at nothing in particular as I imagined the lovely night I had had. That man had handled my sexual prowess like a champ. Maybe I could find him again, once I caught Grundy. Which would not take effort from me. I was that good.

"Wanna go for drinks when you get back?" Ever the optimist, Sam.

"If you're buying, I do not see why not." Shoot, was that a great idea? Now that I think about it...

Sam bumped his shoulder into mine. "Obviously." He wasn't lacking in confidence.

"Then I best start hunting."

===================================

Do you know what is worse between a Crazy criminal and a Deadly criminal? A dead crazy criminal beside a deadly dead criminal.

Because, for me, that means I don't get to have any fun playing with my prey.

Grundy and Zap, both wanted. Dead or alive, it never mattered. Oh well, at least now I would get even more money from the guild for my findings. Yay me!

Dom's eyebrows shot to the edge of his forehead. Well at least they didn't move onto his bald head, that would've been funny. Hahaha. When was the last time I laughed again? Was it that time when my lover of the night came five seconds into our sexual interlude? I cannot seem to recall. Whatever, at least my last partner hadn't disappointed.
