Two days passed and I was busy trying to send out resumes for a job , but so far I was unsuccessful. Wednesday as I was in a cafe in town I happened to run into Damian again and seeing me he asked " hey Sofia it's great to see you again . mind if I join you?"
I smiled " no no prob the seat is yours". He then noticed how sad I looked and asked " is everything ok ? I mean it may not be any of my business , but soon I will be marrying your sister so I may be able to help in some way". I laughed and answered " that's really thoughtful , but the only way you can help me is if you get me a job which you can't so yeah. My boss fired me two days ago and now I only have a 2 months paycheck and after that I really don't know what I am going to do".
" Well it so happens that I can get you a job.infact how about you work for me, as my PA .I promise that the pay will be splendid and you will have a great office ". He said and I stared at him in surprised " oh my gosh Damian really ? thank you so much when should I start ,I could start right now if you want ?" He chuckled and said " no Sofia you can start Monday .for now just enjoy that paycheck and take care of yourself". I smiled saying
" I really appreciate this opportunity Damian and I promise I won't let you down ". He smiled and said " I know you won't Sofia".
That evening at home with Janel over I told her about working for Damian and she smiled " girl I am happy for you, but you sure it won't be a problem working for Damian I mean the guy is a piece of hot meat". I laughed and said
" No problem at all. He is my sister's fiance so I will keep my hands to myself and besides I could never do that to Rose". Shaking her head she said " I don't mean to be mean , but I personally think that it is unfair that Rose just gets everything. The good looks, great job and now guy that every woman dreams of". I sigh as I sipped my wine " well that's just It. Rose was made an angel to live an exceptionally good life and that's what she is doing and I don't envy her one bit".
As I thought about it I knew Janel was right. Rose had everything and I had nothing , but I didn't hate her after all it wasn't her fault. I just have to figure out my life and at the same time make sure that I keep my hands to myself.
