Hmmm...so Bale was a non-conformist. He did whatever his heart suggested, even if it meant going against the entire society. I am a lot like him. I haven't ever thought about it in such a phased manner. I think, I should start practising what I really am. Yes, like Bale, I will not sacrifice even for miniscule things or issues. Today, from the morning itself, I am feeling like having Indian mutton curry!

With these words, Dillon opened his wardrobe and wore a new t-shirt that he had gotten for himself.

"Tani, I will be having that masaledar Indian mutton curry for lunch. Can you prepare that?"

Tania was surprised to hear his non-fussy, carefree husband insisting on a particular lunch meal. It wasn't that Dillon never shared his wishes with his wife but that fact that Dillon was so easygoing with affairs related to general life & food that the shoutout came as a bit of a surprise.

"D, I have already prepared sandwiches with kidney beans. We can have mutton curry tomorrow."

"Tomorrow we will have something else. I am going to Kundan's place to buy that mutton curry. His curry also has a lot of flavours."

With these words, Dillon was patting himself on the back for standing up to his, well, docile wife.

Docile or not, I have to show my character, I am what I am!

"Daddy, can I come with you?"

"My lovely little princess Zoe, dad wants this noon time to be his personal time. I have a lot of issues to think about. We will go for a ride in the evening. Will that work for you?"

Although Zoe nodded her head in a playful manner, Tania was a bit surprised by these sudden changes in Dillon's behaviour. Although, Dillon was still very amiable, he was voicing opinions like somebody absolutely foreign to her.

Dillon started walking on the footpath on his way to Kundan's. He definitely at that time had an air about himself.

Life is so simple if you decide to portray your true character consistently. Although, I am a bit late to show my true colours, from now on, I will not take backseat and will do whatever my heart desires.

At that moment, his cell phone started ringing.

"Hello, yes sir...right now sir? But today wasn't my duty sir. Today is Harrison's chance. But...let me..."

What am I doing? Just let it flow D.

"Ok sir, even if it is not my duty, you are insisting that it is mine and thus, I am not happy with this behaviour of yours. Just because I am a receptionist, doesn't guarantee a verbal beating. I won't succumb to your pressures and won't come to office. You can do whatever you like."

Dillon hung up the call and walked with some more swagger only to find that he had missed the left turn that he was supposed to take. He became a bit angry at himself for losing out on that turn, considering whatever he said on the call was his normal self.

What if they throw me out of the job? How will I pay the bills & the EMIs? Whatever has to happen will happen. I shouldn't worry about all this, I did what I desired to do.

With these thoughts in his head, he reached Kundan's place and bam he collided with the transparent door.

Kundan's was closed for the day and it was excruciatingly painful for Dillon to miss out on the dish. With no signs of mutton curry and a sea-saw pain in his nose, he retraced his steps back to his place, where his father-in-law was busy gobbling on the sandwich with potato wafers.

There were potato wafers and nobody told me??
