Watching and waiting (Daisuga mafia au)

"Let's get out of here NOW!" I yelled.

What I failed to do was observe my surroundings. As I started running away from the fire, I slipped.

And fell in.

Suga you idiot. You're a mafia boss for god's sake.

Tanka and Asahi helped me up. I had nasty burns on my arm and side. We eventually got to the car and drove off as fast as we could.

Shit that hurts.

𝑫𝒂𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒊 𝑷𝑶𝑽

It was late that night when I heard a garage door opening.

They must be back. It's late, something must have happened. 

I heard faint yelling and started to get worried. Yamaguchi had showed me where the intercom in my room was, and to call him if I needed anything. So I walked over to it and pressed the button.

"Hello? Yamaguchi? Could you tell me what's going on? I heard yelling and i'm kind of worried." I waited for a moment, nervous that a reply wouldn't come. 

"Oh yes, the boss has second degree burns. He'll be fine in a few weeks though." Came the eventual reply from the intercom.

"Is there anyway I could see him?"

"Yes, i'll be at your room in five minutes." I heard the intercom cut off as I walked back over to my bed, face planting onto it.

A couple minutes later Yamaguchi arrived at my room. He took me to the infirmary and I gasped.

Suga had burns all up his arm and on his side. He had red marks all up his arms. The burns were even starting to peel and blister.

Looks painful. (A/N It is painful.)

Once he noticed that I was there a slight blush appeared on his cheeks. It was either blush or burns. Either way, not good.

His embarrassment soon turned to anger, and he yelled,

"Get out!"

I'm not going to question him so I get out as fast as possible. 

Well, i'm glad he hasn't changed.

𝑺𝒖𝒈𝒂 𝑷𝑶𝑽

When we got back to base, I was rushed to the infirmary. Tsukishima had been called ahead of time to set up to treat my burns.

I came in and was set on one of the cots. Tsukishima took my coat and started to examine my burns.

"Can you still move your arm?"

I demonstrated that I could and he gave a small nod.

"Good news is that you haven't fried your nerves, and you only have second degree burns. It's going to blister and peel for awhile, but after a couple weeks you'll be fine." He said, turning to grab something from a cabinet.

Right at that moment Daichi walked in. It was kind of embarrassing him seeing me shirtless. Not gonna lie, he did look good in that suit. I'm sure I was blushing by this point. 

Stop! No! I'm a mob boss! I can't have feelings for this cop!

"Get out!" I yelled. A look of fear crossed his face as he sprinted out of the infirmary.

Tsukishima gave a small smirk then went back to working on my burns.

He wrapped my arm and torso in bandages and I was released from the infirmary. I walked back to mission control to find everyone waiting for me. Hinata came up to me and said,

"Hey boss! How are ya feeling?" 

"The burns are kind of numb right now but Tsukishima said that they should be healed in a couple weeks. I probably won't be going on any missions anytime soon." I gave a small smile.

"Well, get better soon!"

"BOKE WHY WOULD HE GET BETTER SOON HE HAS SECOND DEGREE BURNS."

Dear Satan please help me with these two.

"Please don't fight I'm really tired." I sighed. I could always count on guilt-tripping to shut them up.

"Sorry boss..."

I sit down and start to review the next mission. Totally unaware of what was being plotted behind me.

𝑵𝒐𝒚𝒂 𝑷𝑶𝑽

"Should we ask him?" I whispered.

"Are you really sure that's a good idea? Especially since last time someone asked they were shot on sight." Asahi replied, looking as nervous as ever.

"But I heard from Tsukishima that when Daichi came into the infirmary Suga blushed! Blushed! That doesn't happen everyday."

"OK, but if you get shot I have the right to say I told you so."

"OK, fair enough." 

(A/N This is Noya and Suga talking.)

"Hey boss! How are ya feeling, those burns look painful."

"They are painful, but I can get through it."

"Would it be better if someone stayed with you, to make sure your ok? Because I can think of a person who would be willing to."

"Oh really? Who?" He said with a smirk.

"Daichi."

Suga blushed violently. My suspicions are confirmed.

"OOOooOOo Someone has a crush!!" I said with a smile. 

The room went quiet. Everyone paused. Everyone wanted to know what would happen next.

Suga looked angry, but finally he spoke. "OK fine. I do. I've known him forever and I still have a crush on him. Bring this up again and you will be shot."

Yamaguchi spoke up. "Oh yeah, this is the thing that Daichi told me about."

"WAIT YOU KNEW!" I yelled at Yamaguchi.

"Hey boss, just so you know, he had his reasons to turn you down. But, I think he might have feelings for you. When you arrived back after your last mission he called me to ask if you were ok, and insisted on seeing you." Yamaguchi said.

Suga's eyes lit up, and he gave a small smile. I looked back a Asahi and gave an 'I told you do' look.

Who knew the boss had a soft spot.
