☆ day three - poetry

just have fun with a simple poetry structure.

start with the following couplet and carry on:

"My sister and I were never friends
But that is not how the story ends."

My sister and I were never friends
But that is not how the story ends.

My dad would never choose a side
On which of us is his favorite child.

We would have falling outs and petty fights
On why she's wrong and I'm always right.

I think we'd fall in love with the same man
And he'll choose her, of course, it's Anne.

She'll be in the city of lights, living her dreams
While I'll be in my room waking up with a scream.

Even when we're opposites; like dusk and dawn
We're still sisters, even when the world's far gone.

All of this and more,
It'll never happen, I am sure.

My sister and I were never friends
But that is not how the story ends.

Because I don't have a sister, I'm an only child
Imagining a sibling, going wild.
