Into You Chapter 3 - Adore

I greeted the morning with a silent yawn, stretching my arms as I formed my daily routine, making my way into the kitchen to make my lunch. After tucking a bunch of carrot sticks into my backpack, I opened my closet door, fishing out a sapphire blue mesh top. The intricate design of a dragon itching across my chest as I zipped up my black tennis skirt, adjusting the waistband of my midnight fishnet tights. After zipping up my; over the knee boots and applying a few diamond-studded clips to my loosely waved hair I grabbed my bag, slinging it over my shoulder as my feet scuttled down the road, finally making it to my desolate workplace. "hello?" I called out, knowing I wouldn't get an answer. I instantly slinked down on the counter, swinging back and forth as I peered out of the window, watching all of the pretty people walk by, on phones or simply chatting away with a friend. It made me miss home for a second, it wasn't all bad, I had a best friend who I loved, but everyone moved on from me some way or another.

The sound of the bell made my head jolt up slightly, it had been just over an hour and a half of me sat doing pretty much nothing at all. I couldn't make out who had just scuttled into an aisle, but I knew I'd get my hopes up if I even thought of Yoongi. My hands gripped the lid of the fish food as I let the tub tilt slightly, releasing a few flakes for Tangerine, my only company, to nibble away at. "Excuse me?" the voice came out as a whisper as I gradually turned, noticing a shy smile as I slid off of the counter, feeling my boots hit the floor as I looked up into chestnut eyes, narrow and sharp as if they belonged to a wild cat. "Hey, what can I help you with?" I gave him a smile, noticing just how tall he was, soft black hair twirling through his fingers as he ruffled it slightly. "I was wondering if you knew where the wonder woman comics were?" His words stuttered slightly as his cheeks flushed, lips quivering as he avoided my eye contact. "Oh, sure thing, follow me." I beamed nonetheless, guiding him through the store as he trailed behind me.

Just as I noticed it from the corner of my eye, I stood on the very tips of my toes, debating whether or not I should leap and try to knock it off. "L-let me get that." He shifted closer, lifting his hand with ease as he pulled the book down, I gave him a warm chuckle, dusting off the book. "you'd think they'd hire someone remotely tall enough to reach the shelf's here, right?" he let out a sweet giggle, following me back to the desk as he waited patiently by the counter. "OH NO-" a sudden crash haltered our steps, the boy slapped his forehead, glancing over at me before apologizing profusely. I couldn't help but collapse with giggles as I took in the sight, a pile of once stacked books now sprawled all over the floor. "Hey it's okay, chill, I can pick up the books." He nodded, clumsily falling to the floor as he began lifting them. I planted my knees to the floor, joining his pattern as we placed them back into a cardboard box. just as the last few were being lifted, I felt our hands touch, only for a moment, before we tugged away simultaneously, sighing shyly as I quickly collected the rest. "I think I've seen you before you know?" I squinted, smirking slightly as I pointed my finger. "You were the boy with the batman comics, weren't you? Did you enjoy them?" his eyes widened slightly as he nodded, "that was me! I loved them, I'm Namjoon by the way, but you can call me Joon if you want." There was that blush again, I shook my head softly, neatly packing his items "Joon it is then, have a nice day, dimples." He bit his lip slightly, smiling widely as he waved, scurrying out of the door. "Cute." I thought to myself.

Only a few more people came, business was especially slow today, so I decided to pack up early, finally locking the door as I wandered out onto the pavement, clutching my elbows as I fought against the freezing cold. "Well if it isn't Pluto, or should I say you're an Imoogi now?" I recognized that voice like the palm of my hand, a rough deep followed by a cold squeak, it was Yoongi, overtaking my eyes and looking fine as ever, thumb resting on his lips as he smirked solidly. "What's that?" He stepped closer, "it's a dragon, an ancient legend of a girl who turns to a sea serpent, I prefer you as Pluto though, too small to be considered a planet." He tapped my nose, placing his hands on his knees as he bent down, looking into my eyes. "Well, that was rude." I rolled my eyes, watching him snap back up as he ruffled his glossy locks. "I want to take you somewhere, you in shortcake?" I bit my bottom lip, contemplating before I felt smooth leather against my palm, he winked darkly, casting a shadow with his grin, "I know you're going to say yes, so let's skip the witty banter sweetheart."

With those words we were speeding through empty roads, running freely through streetlights and flickering lamps until we stopped, Yoongi stood before me, holding both of my hands behind him as we snuck around the back of a grubby building. "This looks sketchy." I whispered, feeling a slight touch of fear coat my words. "Sometimes you just gotta trust the vibe, Pluto." He smiled, dragging me through a secret door planted around the side of the walls. "Wow-" the breath was knocked from my lungs as shimmering cobalt light twinkled across our faces, bustles of people swaying to the music as the air coated with so many feelings, I'd never been to a club before. "You as good at dancing as you are singing Imoogi?" I ran a hand through my hair, knowing full well I wasn't the slightest bit shy when dancing, especially in a place where everyone was doing it. "you tell me." I grabbed his hand, interlocking his pinkie with mine. As we made our way to the floor, the rhythm soon filled my body as I moved to the hazy music.

Not a care in the world could overcome me as I felt myself slip into the beat, the tunes infecting me with a feverish pulse as I moved, finally turning to face Yoongi, who's eyes were now dark and fervour. "Are you just going to stand there? Come on, loosen up Yoongles." He sighed, folding his arms as he scoffed slightly, letting his tongue dab around his inner cheek before he moved closer, slowly but surely getting into the rhythm as we danced away every negative thought in mind. I turned, finding the natural wave surge through my body as I looked back at Yoongi, his eyes on mine as I gave him a smile, noticing how the azure lights shimmered in his coal coloured eyes. Just as I turned back, I felt the air knock from my lungs, there he was, perfection. Tall, broad shoulders outlined perfectly under that same biker jacket he wore so well, leather and latex covering his palms, letting his long fingers show off their thick silver rings, one with a sapphire stone to match the aquatic atmosphere.

His hair was now tussled, slightly curled as it ruffled each time he moved, rose-tinted lips accompanied by chiselled cheekbones and defiant hooded eyes, sly like an ice fox. He smirked ever so slowly, hooking his thumb on the front of his silver-buckled belt, matching his black ripped jeans and thick combat boots better than himself in leather. "You've got moves Pluto; I'll give you that." His voice never faltered, always rolling like a burning ocean as he whispered into my hair, contrasting the suffocating heat with a cool shiver. "You're still a little stiff, but it's hard not to be when you're next to me." I lied, teasing him slightly letting out a confident laugh, smiling at his now fake annoyed face. Just as the club began emptying, Yoongi and I made our way out, now shifting our way through even more desolate streets than before. We kept the talking to a minimum, it wasn't awkward as such, just quieter than usual. "Hey, Pluto!" I turned immediately, feeling my long waves whip behind my back as my lips parted. "What can I do to get your number?" he mumbled, tilting his chin upwards as I grinned. "You can get on your knees and ask nicely." There it was again, his tongue rolling up against his cheek. "You're kidding." I shook my head, pointing to the floor as I watched him unfold his arms, raising his brows. "Wow, you really are an Imoogi after all." I rolled my eyes, folding my arms as he spoke. "Please, my fair Pluto, will you do me the honours of allowing a guy like I to have your number so that I can leak it to a random dude in a gas station." I felt myself splutter as I shook my head.

A smirk dotted onto his lips as a few people walked by, he quickly changed his stance, standing on one knee as he gave me a wink. "Yoongi NO-" I whispered. "WILL YOU MARRY ME, MY LOVER?" The people seemed half-drunk, but stopped and cheered nonetheless. "Come on don't leave me hanging honey." A look of triumph tickled onto his face as I nodded, "yes I'll marry you moron, now get up so I can murder you and steal your life insurance." He stood, pulling me in by the waist as the people cheered harder, I felt my elbow swiftly glide into his stomach as he wheezed, "you're lethal, you know that?" he rubbed at the spot I hit, overdramatically. I fumbled around for a piece of paper in my back pocket, noticing I had already written down my number for the store files. "Night Yoongi." I slid it into his palm, watching him try and hide the smile on his face as I turned my back, making sure to give him one final glance. He laughed slightly, giving me a motionless wave before shaking his head.
