Into You Chapter 6 - Hold Me Tight
It had gotten extremely late, the police had questioned me until they gathered as much information as they could, I sighed, still feeling my breathing hitch at the thought of her dead body, left there, cold and alone, I knew she must've been so scared, my mind envisioning her friend being told the news. I couldn't believe it. "Please eat, I know this is awful but I can't have you pass out, I don't think Yoongi would take that lightly on me and I want you to be okay." I flinched at the mention of his name, the steam of freshly grilled lamb skewers tempting my empty stomach. "I don't think he'd care at all Jungkook, he clearly used me for the fun of it." I scoffed, wiping the dry stains from my cheeks with the back of my sleeve. "You'd be crazy to think Yoongi doesn't like you. The way he talks about you, his eyes when you're around, I've never even seen him with anyone other than myself, let alone a girl." I shook my head, sucking air through my teeth as I avoided his gaze. "that's a little hard to believe, he hasn't answered any of my calls or texts." Jungkook smiled earnestly, his hand brushing over mine softly. "Yoongi, he has to go sometimes, but with reason, trust me, he will come back okay?" I nodded. "Now please eat up, I'll bring you a drink and as much food as you want on the house okay? Please don't worry." I pushed everything I had in me to produce a meek smile, watching him fumble around for a can of coke in the mini-fridge before setting it on the table. "I'm only a call away okay?" I hummed, watching as he disappeared before taking a bite of the meat, soon wolfing it down in a desperate plea to distract my thoughts.
A week had gone by, there was still no sign of Yoongi, Jungkook had come by the store with food a couple of times after the incident but nothing more than a note or a quick greeting was left before he rushed home. It was an unseasoned Friday evening; I caught a glimpse of myself as I locked up the door. Adjusting the blood velvet mini dress; I had layered over a pair of black fishnets. The diamond shapes on them small and detailed. After pushing back, the hair from the collar of my black leather jacket I sighed, folding my arms as my charcoal patent combat boots chiselled down into the stones. I had fumbled further than usual when I noticed the lime green glow just further out in the blackening distance. I continued forward, rolling my eyes at the thought of spending my time in such a place. "Can I have just one please?" I pointed at the glass, watching the bartender nod as he fumbled around with some bottles. "ID?" I pulled it out, a bored expression snapping onto my features. "Here you are." He smiled, soon getting on with another customer, soft blonde hair swivelling with his body.
"Life, am I right?" A guy beside me sighed, I turned, feeling the patience in my chest wear thin. "Tell me about it." I yawned, scrunching up my face at the putrid taste. "So, you're just going to become an alcoholic or you got a story?" I gave him a raised brow, watching him move to the seat next to my own. "I just feel like I'm missing something, you know?" He hummed, downing the rest of the liquid in his glass. "Trust me, I can relate." I nodded, giving him a weak smile. He beamed back, an almost box-like shape tainting his lips as his eyes squeezed at the action, causing the youth in his features to emerge. "Looks like duty calls, I'm Taehyung by the way." He peered down at his phone, lifting his finger for a moment before summoning the bartender. "Another one please, for the beautiful girl in red." I smirked, raising my brow yet again at his cheeky grin. "That's your last one though, get home safe." I shrugged, sipping at my drink with a hum. Just as I had gotten almost halfway down my second, I noticed something from the corner of my eye, the presence of dark leather, a glint of silver on the buckle of a belt I knew far too well.
"Yoongi?" I stood, shaking away the two drinks I had just downed. The back of my hand wiping at my bottom lip, still careful enough not to smudge the red lipstick I had applied only moments ago. "Pluto? What are you doing here? It's not safe." I shook my head, pushing my hand into the soft fabric of his midnight T. "I can handle myself Yoongi, if you ask me, you're the one who's not safe." He rolled his eyes, lifting my hand firmly as he moved closer to my flimsy form. "What can you possibly do?" I squinted, lifting my chin "I'm dangerous, remember?" He held my wrists gently, dark eyes with a subtle warmness in them. "I'm going to call someone to take you home okay?" I shook my head, tearing away from his grip with a scoff. "NO! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE TAKING ME HOME, BUT INSTEAD, YOU GHOST ME FOR WEEKS AND NOW YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO MEET UP WITH SOME OTHER PERSON YOU STRUNG ALONG! YOU DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT ME DO YOU? I WAS JUST A TOY FOR YOU HUH?" I felt tears singe in the corners of my eyes, throat burning at the harsh yelling I had displayed seconds ago. "You couldn't even be there for me when I was attacked, only to find the dead body of some kid sprawled out along the sidewalk."
Yoongi seemed slightly shocked, his eyes scrambling across every movement I did. "you know what, I don't need this right now." I ran a hand through my hair, gaining my full presence back as I grabbed the leather jacket, I had left sprawled across the stool. Just as I turned, I noticed Yoongi, his head shifting to the side for a moment before his hand slid down to his belt. "Jimin?" He questioned. I snarled. "MY NAME IS NOT-" My words were cut by the cold feeling of something against my head, a hand tightening its grip around my neck. "Any of you move and I'll blow her brains out." I felt my eyes widened as Yoongi pulled out a black gun, holding it straight before me as Jungkook and the boy from before merged beside him. "W-what's going on?" I could feel the fear escaping my words as I noticed I was being held captive by the very bartender who served me. "Lay another finger on her and I will break every bone in your body, Jimin. Let her go, she has nothing do with this." The golden-haired boy from before snapped a quick cackle, dragging the gun up and down my face before resting it back in its spot against my temple.
"Yoongi-ah, it's so sweet seeing you squirm over her if only she knew the ghastly things you do." I furrowed my brows, fighting back any tears threatening to escape. "Why-" "shut your precious little mouth before I blow your head off." The venom in his words collected in my ears, a large waft of fear shattering over my gaze. "I have what you want right here, just take the money and go back to your rat king." Jungkook tossed a knitted sack forward, His grip on the gun sharpening. "Yo J, they got what we want." My eyes caught hold of that unmistakable red hair, instantly catching the attention of my gaze. It was the guy who challenged Yoongi in the rap battle. "If it isn't the little Suga cube and his band of muppets." The boy itched forward, a gun to match the rest of them in hand. "To what do we owe such a magnificent hostage?" He scanned me up and down, locking eyes with Jimin before lifting the bag, his free hand sifting through the contents. "Hey Jimin- ah, let's go get some food, I'm bored, we can eat gourmet, on me." He giggled, slinging the sack over his shoulder. "What about this." I felt him tug on my hair, forcing my neck to roll back just enough to release a whimper from my lips.
"I'd rather not ruin such a pretty face, let her go." He moved forward, pinching at my cheek. "Although you're more than welcome to kick it with us instead." I matched his gaze, feeling extremely intimidated as Jimin loosened the grip on my hair. "See you soon suckers." He led me to the door, letting me go as soon as they were out of shooting range. I tumbled into Yoongi, his arms instantly wrapping around me. "I'm so sorry Pluto, I can explain everything I swear." I gasped, unable to speak. My voice itched for words as I rubbed at my bear arms, mouth practically gawking at the situation. "Y-you have a gun. All of you have guns?" The boys tucked their weapons away, surrounding Yoongi and I. "I promise, we will explain everything, but we have to get out of here." I stumbled back, watching Jungkook lift my jacket from the floor. "STAY BACK!" Yoongi held out his hands, a flash of what seemed to be hurt coating his eyes. "You trust me, remember?" flashbacks of him and I filled my head, I knew he was telling the truth, the way he was, I was either blind or right about trusting him. "let me take care of you, come on Pluto." I nodded hesitantly, following him and the rest of them to a car. The boy I had sat next to earlier, Taehyung, started the engine as Yoongi pulled me to his shoulder, whispering multiple apologies into my hair as he massaged it soothingly, the tinge of burning from Jimin's grip lingering against my scalp. We pulled up to what seems to be a richer area, tall glass condos scaling the scene. Yoongi took my hand, leading me into the lift with the others as we landed on one of the top floors, my eyes instantly spacing out due to the level of height we were at. "Here are some clothes and the bathroom is just here, I'll be waiting for you out here okay? If you need anything, I'm here Pluto." I flinched slightly as he handed over a soft black bundle, his thumb skimming my palm in an attempt to calm my nerves. I nodded, locking the door before muffling a scream into my arm. I had no idea what had just happened, it all seemed so unimaginable. After regaining a grip of some sort, I stuffed my clothes into my backpack. Zipping it up before sliding into what I assumed was one of Yoongi's hoodies, the smell of him filling my head. The arms were long, slinking past my fingertips, I slid on a pair of long cotton socks he had given me, the length difference of his legs and mine causing them to stretch just above my knee.
I washed my face, a slightly pink tint left of the residue my red lipstick had printed onto my lips. My eyes scanned over myself in the mirror before I slapped my cheeks, squeezing my eyes shut as I took a breath. As soon as I stepped out all eyes were on me, Yoongi motioning for me to sit in the chair across from him. "I know this is not what you expected, but I just want to clearly signal to you that I like you a lot. I would never have ignored you for so long if it wasn't for your safety, I would've come back to you no matter what, I want you to know that Imoogi." I shifted my gaze to the tiled floor, eyes glazing over in an attempt not to run into his arms for comfort. "Why do you guys have guns?" I stared hard at the brown-haired boy sat beside Jungkook, he sighed, "Well, we're sort of, in a gang." I furrowed my brows, staining each of them with a fearful glance. "Who are those guys? Jimin and J-Hope?" Jungkook ran a hand through his chestnut locks, folding his arms. "They're some of our rivals, they're bad people, but we're not like them." I jumped to my feet, scoffing rudely.
"You're not like them? Take a look in the mirror, you're exactly like them! Guns, business trades, I bet you were going to sell me off to some of your little clients, weren't you?" Yoongi raised a brow, his eyes fixated on my own. "That's what you think I'd do with you? You think I'd ever think for even a second of you as anything other than someone I care about?" I gripped my forehead, eyes bursting with confusion. "What should I think huh? That this was some stupid romance from some movie? I don't know what you want at all Yoongi. I don't even know if that's your real name." I felt the tears from before sting at the corners of my eyes, my teeth chattering with shock. "Those guys are cold-blooded murderers, they cause trouble wherever they go and I'm not claiming to be a saint, but I never hurt innocent people, I, we're not like that and I need you to know that." I parted my lips to speak, but lost the audio from my own words, gasping in a desperate attempt to earn it back.
"I want to go home, I'm too tired for this." I shook my head, watching as Yoongi sighed, a hand ruffling the charcoal curls on his head. "It's late and I want to make sure I can protect you, you can stay here, follow me." He walked along the hall, my feet following him despite the urge to run away. "Please, get some sleep, if you want anything, I'll get it for you okay." I gave him a singular nod, eyes shutting as I lifted the covers. "I'm so sorry angel, what happened today is my fault, but I need you to know that I would never let anything happen to you. I feel something when I'm with you, a feeling I've never felt, I want you to know how much it pains me to see you hurt so please, try and rest." I watched his figure edge towards the door before I couldn't hold it in any longer. "wait, Yoongi. Could you stay with me, I uh, I don't want to be alone right now." He nodded, closing the door before making his way towards me, clutching me close as he folded the covers just before our faces. "Thanks." I whispered, instantly feeling the spark of his smooth skin against my face. "I won't go anywhere, please rest Pluto, I promise, I'm right here okay?" his fingertips ran up and down my back, filling my thoughts with ease as I nuzzled deeper into his chest, eyes closing as a shaken agreeing mumble left my lips.
