Into You Chapter 5 - Light Me Up

I locked my fingers tightly, feeling the outline of his frame move with each turn and sudden blast of the vehicle, my body sliding closer into his back as I sighed, feeling a euphoric glow glitter around us. I shut my eyes, remembering where I had come from, I would never in my wildest dreams have imagined such a turn of events, but despite it being so sudden, it kept me prowling and that's what I liked about Yoongi. He kept me guessing, the shaft of cold and warm he displayed, it suited him more than the contrast of rugged leather and his soft skin. I did really did like him. A lot. The streetlights became seemingly distant in my peripheral vision, I noticed Yoongi turn his head slightly, a sharp sparkle in his eye as he caught sight of elbows clutching him tightly into my chest. I felt a shatter of disappointment rain over my chest as I noticed my apartment approaching, he clicked the breaks, pushing his foot out effortlessly before we lifted our helmets off simultaneously. "Did you like the bike after all?" he stepped over the seat, stood with his arms crossed as he watched me, still sat with my hands pushed into the soft cushioning beneath me. I pushed my arms into the air, back arching with a yawn before I held out my hands, flashing my pearly whites before closing my eyes harshly. "It was surprisingly good, now please help me off."

I wiggled my fingers as he took a step forward, wrapping his arm around my waist in a comfortable fashion before holding my hand in his, watching as I swung my leg over, the fabric of my tennis skirt ruffling as if it were a delicate swan upon a lake of black. "Thanks." I planted my feet to the floor, looking up at his tall frame, a sudden blush tinting my face. "you're blushing Pluto." He grinned, moving his face closer to mine as I avoided eye contact, kicking at the stones lightly. "It's cold!" he chuckled, shaking his head before planting a sweet kiss to my cheek, his eyes catching an almost sapphire glow as he blinked. "Goodnight Imoogi. Enjoy the rest of this story in your dreams." I rolled my eyes scoffing as an unstoppable smirk tugged at the corners of my lips. "What makes you think I'd dream of you?" He gripped his helmet, pressing his large boot onto the motorbike. "You could have a nightmare of me if you want, I hear those hit different." I shook my head, trying to avoid the strawberry shimmer from dusting at my face once again. "Don't worry kitten, I think of you too." And with that he revved the engine, his figure soon disappearing into the distance with a dragged growl. "That boy." I gripped either side of my face, locking the door of my apartment before leaping onto my bed. I couldn't believe it. It was so surreal.

I groaned pitifully, slapping the palm of my hand down onto the ear wrenching sound of my alarm, I immediately checked my phone, but there were no texts, I sighed, knowing he wasn't the clingy type. After a few more moments in bed, I rose, getting myself ready in the bathroom before racking my closet for an outfit. "It's already that late!" I hopped into my thick brown boot, adjusting the strap of my fitted saffron dress as I scrambled for my bag, my feet catching top speed down the walkway. "Hello?" I relaxed at the sound of no reply, quickly turning the sign to "open" before sliding past the counter, twirling my freshly straightened high pony and watching it fall past my hip. My hands fiddled around on the computer, typing up a new order to our supply before I spun in a circle, applying a fresh coating of mango gloss to my pouted lips. "R U MINE?" I read out the title, smiling at the sweetness of the characters relationship, after getting a chapter in I slid it into its compartment, watching two girls walk in giddily, small hands holding each other tightly as they flashed adorable smiles my way, earning one back. "Excuse me, do you know where the Spiderman comics are?" I nodded, guiding them back through a row of shelves.

"You're the girl who came by yesterday right? I love your hair." She giggled, her friend playing with the short tufts of teal ending at the girls' jaw. "Thank you, for the compliment and the comics." A soft bubble of laughter broke out between the three of us before I packaged their items, closing the cash register as I handed the pink packaged goods to them. "It's no problem, come back soon." I waved them out. "She's so pretty." The taller girl tapped her friends' arm, soft brown hair swishing against the breeze as she fanned her face. I couldn't help but smile, small things like that really brightened my day. My body leapt onto the counter, lifting the lid of fish food before pouring it down into the swishing water. "Eat up Tangerine, I have so much to tell you." I went over every detail of the previous day, watching her stare deeply into my eyes, her puckering lips blowing bubbles every time I'd use a hand gesture or muster up an "I know right." She was nothing like an average fish, it was as if she really listened to my stories. I adored it.
