^Kailee^

7:30 am

The ear splitting sound of my annoying alarm rang through my room. I rolled over, and hit the snooze. Sadly I couldn't put a snooze button on my annoying mom.

"Kailee! Get up!" She yelled from the livingroom.

We lived in a small 2-bedrooom apartment in Ottawa, Illinois. I shared a room with my siblings. I had the bottom bunk with Kaicey.

I grunted at my mom's annoyingness.

"Kailee Rose!" She yelled a second time.

"Alright I'm up!" I yelled back getting out of bed.

I'm glad this is my Junior year of high school. After next year I can get out of this crammed house. It was fine when it was just me and Kaide, but with Kaicey here it's way too much.

I grabbed my uniform, and my brush from the closet, and walked to the bathroom. I put my uniform on, and bushed my hair. I didn't feel like doing it today, so I just tied it in a messy low-bun by my right shoulder. I walked out of the bathroom, and grabbed my phone.

7:40 am

Mei: Are you driving us today, or is it Shelby's turn?

Cheeto: I can drive. I'm heading out soon.

Mei: Ok I'll tell Shelby to walk over to my house.

Shelby and Mei lived a block apart, so I was easier to pick them both up if they went to one house.

I grabbed my book bag, and walked into the kitchen looking through the fridge.

"You better be home by 4:00." My mom nagged as she walked in.

"I have practice today." I grabbed an apple, and rolled my eyes walking away.

I wasn't waiting for a response. She hung out the door behind me.

"Where's your hockey bag?" My mom hollered down the stairs.

I stopped, and turned toward her.

"I have wrestling practice today, and they are both in the car. Keep up Miss America." I took a bite out of my apple walking out the door.

My mom always thought highly of herself, but she wasn't as great as she made herself to be.

I got in my car, and drove over to Mei's house. Mei got in the passenger's seat, and Shelby got in back.

"Look at the Tik Tok I sent you." Shelby said pulling out her phone.

I looked at my phone before pulling away. She sent me a video of a really hot guy. I looked at the tags, and it said "Bts."

"You know how I feel about that K-pop stuff." I said turning off my phone, and starting to drive.

"Yes, I know, but you need something to get your mind off of Ethan." Shelby said.

"She doesn't need to take her mind off of him if she doesn't want to." Mei protested.

"Guys, can we not talk about him?" I begged.

The rest of the ride was silent. We got to school a little early, so we had to stay outside until the front doors were unlocked. We sat down at the picnic tables outside.

"They're lucky it's the beginning of spring." Shelby grunted pulling at her shirt.

"Oh shut up. Can you ever just enjoy something?" Mei snapped.

"I can, but the doors-"

"should never be locked to the students. You complain about this everyday." I cut her off.
