Chapter 6

12:00 pm

I was at Jandi's house with her and Junpyo. She grabbed something from her dresser drawer, and walked over to Junpyo.

"I made this for you." Jandi said handing him a blue bracelet.

She put it on his wrist, and sat down next to him.

"If you lose this you're dead." She said.

*2 Months Later*

4:00 pm

Since it was a Saturday I was working at the restaurant with Jandi. We were bored, and sitting at a table when Junpyo walked in. We both watched him sit down. I found the bracelet Jandi gave him on the floor earlier, and had it in my pocket. I wanted to give it to him, but I didn't want Jandi to notice. She noticed though.

"Where's the bracelet?!" She asked clearly panicked.

Junpyo's eyes went wide. He looked at his wrist then at Jandi.

"I..." He hesitated.

"I took it." I blurted.

Jandi and Junpyo both looked at me with in shock.

"What?!" Jandi snapped.

"I was jealous.. You're my friend, and I wanted it to stay that way. Sorry.." I said putting the bracelet on the table.

"How could you do that, Kailee? You knew I wouldn't be happy to see him not wearing it." Jandi said grabbing the bracelet.

"I know.. I messed up, and I'm sorry." I said getting up.

I put the apron on the table, and walked out. I went to the dock, and put my hands in my pockets watching the waves. Junpyo ran up, and stood next to me looking at the waves.

"Thanks for saving me back there.." He said.

"Don't worry about it." I said keeping my eyes on the water.

He looked over at me.

"Why did you say you took it?"

"Don't worry about it."

"Are you going to say anything other than 'don't worry about it?'" He asked.

I looked over at him.

"Don't worry about it." I started walking away, but he caught up to me.

"Ok you can't say that as an answer anymore. Why? Why ruin your friendship?" He asked.

"Don't worry about that."

"I said you can't use that as an answer."

"I said that instead of it!" I smiled punching his arm playfully.

"Still! You were intending the same thing!" He pushed me smiling.

"Just be happy I saved you. Can you at least do that?" I asked looking at him.

"No. I can't. Ever since I told you Jandi and I are getting married you've been different." Junpyo said not smiling anymore.

"Don't-"

"Worry about it. Yes I know that what you're going to say, but if you need to tell me something then just tell me."

I looked at him blankly, but I wanted to tell him I liked him. I couldn't do that to Jandi though.

"Nope." I said then went home.

When I got to my apartment building Tae's limo pulled up. I stopped, and looked over at the window as it rolled down.
