Craig's pov

I bounce my leg up and down at a quick pace as I lean my chin in my palm as I watch students with bright smiles on their face walk up onto the stage and be given their award. I knew Tyler was starting to grow worried as he kept glancing to me then asked Brock to ask if I was okay, which I ignored. As much as I don't want to ignore them, I didn't know how to handle the situation I was in.

My parents are here.

I don't know why or how but they found me.

My mother had texted me not that long ago, which is when I started feeling like this.

"Craig we're sorry for kicking you out. We heard about your scholarship and are very proud of you! Your father wants you to come back to us as do I. We miss you. Please think through about this."

Read.

I never replied to the text but I know she saw that I read it. I kept looking around the full auditorium, trying desperately to find my parents even though the last thing I wanted was to see them. I just wanted to be aware of where they were so I could keep my distance.

Just then my phone went off, I check it but quickly get up and exit the room as fast as I could. Ignoring all the weird looks I was getting but I didn't give two shits about them. I just needed to get the hell out of there.

"We see you."

My father texted me. I panicked and left the room as that was the first thing I could think of to do. I didn't need Tyler knowing about this or else he'll try to step in, and I don't need him getting himself into all this.

I pull at my hair and pace back and forth, rethinking my life choices at this point when I hear heels clicking down the hall causing me to whip my head in the direction of them to see Rose wearing a dark purple dress that went all the way down to her feet.

(Also never described what she looked like so I'll do that now.

Brown hair that goes down to her shoulders. Blue eyes and pink roset cheeks. 5.2)

The purple went quite nicely with her curled hair. She looked at me with concern in her eyes.

"What's wrong Craig?" She asks. I look around then back to her. "My parents are here." I basically whisper. She raises her eyebrow at me, confused on what I meant. "Isn't that a good thing?" She asks. I shake my head. "They kicked me out over a year ago once they found out I was gay, I've been living on my own but recently Tyler moved in with me." Her eyes widen a bit as she takes a glance back into the auditorium then sighs.

Just then Tyler's name was called out by Mr. Easton for his scholarship to Eastwood college. I sigh also but make no effort to move, I only cross my arms and lean against the wall.

"They're about to call you." She says. I still don't do anything. My anxiety attack within me growing each second that past.

"I don't care, I already have the actual scholarship." I reply to her. She sighs before leaning back against the wall opposite of me.

"Now the final scholarship, which is to ACLA in Los Angeles goes to Craig Thomspon!" Mr. Easton exclaims. Cheering could be heard as while as clapping, then it stopped.

"Can Craig Thomspon please make your way to the stage." He says. People could be heard whispering to each other, some looking around for me. I spotted Tyler very slowly getting up.

"Is Craig here?" Mr. Easton asks. I hear Brock and Tyler both yell no answering his question. Just as he was about to start talking again I open the thin door and walk up onto the stage. Some gasp while others begin cheering. I place a fake smile on my face and search the room with my eyes for my parents. I see Rose leaning against the doorframe clapping her hands and smiling towards me. I smile back but then feel them grow wide as I spot my Mother and Father sitting just next to her.
