Olivia Parker

I looked over at Clary. She was slamming her shot glass down on the bar, trying to signal the bartender she wanted another, but she missed, considering how hammered she was, and dropped the glass, it shattering once it hit the floor. I laughed out loud, and returned my attention to the stage, where a band was performing.

I have to admit, their music was pretty good. I wonder why I've never heard them before. I felt Clary return to my side, and we both moved our bodies to the music, but since we were both pretty bad dancers, we were basically jumping up and down and bobbing our heads to the melody.

When the music stopped, and the lead singer was singing alone, I looked up. He was so beautiful. His voice was so, so beautiful.

Damn.

I could've sworn he was looking at me, singing to me. In that moment, it was just him and me. Even when Clary tripped and bumped roughly into me and spilled her shot glass all over my shirt, I didn't notice. Am I just crazy?

I was so captivated by him. In that moment, I was so blind to everything but the boy with the Angel voice.
