The mood was very tense for Allen and Lavi.

Allen saw movement out of his right eye again from the stoic faced woman. He watched her as she walked up to his car door, standing right outside it, looking down to Allen with piercing eyes.

They watched each other for a moment, before Allen had a thought.

'She's gonna open the door.'

After a few beats, Allen saw a slight movement from the lady before the door opened. It was only open by an inch or two before Allen slammed it shut, immediately locking it and looking at the woman with a harsh glare. The two watched each other for a moment before Allen shook his head in a way that said 'Not gonna happen.', his hand still resting on the door lock.

The woman's eyes narrowed, but she made no move to try again in opening the door. Instead, she turned away and walked a bit farther ahead. Allen saw the man with the gun raise an eyebrow at the lady. His mouth moved, but neither Allen or Lavi could hear what he said from inside the car.

The man's face turned even more puzzled when the woman begun rustling within some nearby bushes.

Although, that confusion quickly turned into full blown laughter when he saw what was revealed.

Allen's heart jumped as he watched her drag out the kid from earlier.

The same kid who stood with his father as they waved to him.

'He's still alive!'

The blonde woman dragged the boy a few yards away from the bushes he was hiding in, before kicking out his feet from below him and sending him to the ground. She knelt down to the boy struggling to get back up and put her hands on his shoulders to hold him in place.

Her eyes were locked onto Allen's. The message in that gaze was clear.

'Get out of the car or this kid will die.'

Allen gritted his teeth. He knew he had to do something. No way in hell was he going to let that kid die.

Seems Lavi had the same plan.

The car suddenly lurched forward towards the man with the gun as Lavi's foot stomped down onto the gas pedal.
