I unpacked the last box in my new bedroom. Pulling out the radio from the cardboard box, I then set it on my vanity.

After that, I walk over to my bedroom window that overlooks the street below and the two rows of buildings on each side, and I can also see the Brooklyn bridge from here as well

After that, I walk over to my bedroom window that overlooks the street below and the two rows of buildings on each side, and I can also see the Brooklyn bridge from here as well. It was a sunny day that morning we had just moved to Brooklyn, New York.  The whole reason we moved here is because my stepdad's job requires him to travel alot. I really miss my old friends, and I know the first few days here are gonna be awful. "Gabriel! Dinners ready!" I heard my mom call. I left the room and made sure to close the door behind me and ran downstairs and into the kitchen.

...

I woke up the next morning and made sure to take a shower and get ready. My outfit consisted of a nice white button up longsleve shirt with black suspenders, khaki trousers, and black sneakers. Before I walked out, I also made sure to grab my news boy cap. As I walked down the stairs of my apartment, I hear my mother call me into the kitchen. "Good Morning Gabe." She said. "Morning." I replied. "You want me to take you to school?" "Yeah I guess you can." I sighed quietly.

...

As we drove throughout Brooklyn in our new 32' Ford Model B, I watched as the people walked down the sidewalk, assuming that they are also heading to school. As we arrived at the large brick structure, I noticed all the students walking into the school.

"You know what?" I asked my mother. "What is it sweetie?" She asked in response. "I actually don't feel the greatest right now. Maybe I should just go back home." I informed her. "Sweetheart I know you are lying. I know you're nervous, because the first day at any new school is hard, but I promise it gets better." She tried reassuring me. "Yeah sure." I said sourly as I shut the car door after getting out. I took a deep breath before gaining enough confidence to start walking towards the entrance of the school. "Have a great day Gabe!" Mother called after me. I'll try, I thought to myself. Over the doors that lead to the inside of the school read; George  Washington High School, it's almost intimidating knowing that I'm gonna be in a new school, but maybe I'm just overreacting.
