Lance x Reader: Salad or Sandwich?

Hey guys! this one is super short and kinda dumb, just for fun lol.

Shiro walks into the lounge looking for the rest of his team, only to see everyone standing at the door staring at Lance and (y/n) arguing passionately.

"What do you mean! That's ridiculous!" (y/n) yells.

"Oh really?! You're the one that's being ridiculous!"

"Is everything ok, why are they yelling?" Shiro asks, his dad mode activated, and concern fills him up. He's never seen the two argue like that before. In fact, he has never seen them argue.

"SHHH!" the rest of the group shushes Shiro, not wanting him to stop the arguing. The pair don't even look towards their leader. There was a screen lit up, but it was acting as a white board with drawings and diagrams across the entire thing. (y/n) was pointing at the drawing and yelling "How can I be wrong the facts are all there, Lance! You're just being ignorant!"

"I am CONVINCED that you are not using your brain at this moment, how could you even say that!" Lance yells at (y/n).

"Why are they fighting?" Shiro whispers, repeating his question.

"They're fighting over whether a taco would be a salad or a sandwich," Pidge whispers back.

"They were categorizing food into only two categories, salads or sandwiches, and then they got to tacos and all hell broke loose," Hunk adds. "They both make some really good points, I don't know who is right."

"You're joking right?" Shiro asks, trying to figure out why in the world this is an argument happening.

"I wish we were," Keith deadpans. "but this is very entertaining"

"I finally learned what a taco was though," Allura says.

"Why are we watching them?" Shiro asks his team.

"Just listen," all four of them say together.

"It's OBVIOUSLY A SALAD. THERE IS EVEN A THING CALLED TACO SALAD LANCE! There is lettuce and tomatoes, and the meat is usually like ground beef or stuff that is cut into small pieces, like you would put in a SALAD!" (y/n) argues, getting very heated.

"You're not even taking to account soft shell tacos! And your argument is so flawed! Lettuce and tomatoes are used in sandwiches all the time and have you ever eaten a sloppy joe or a philly cheese steak sandwich? THEY'RE MADE WITH SMALL PIECES OF MEAT! PLUS A HARD SHELL TACO IS FOLDED SO IT LOOKS LIKE A HOT DOG BUN, WHICH WE HAVE ESTABLISHED IS A SANDWICH!" Lance yells back.

"First of all, soft shell tacos are basically burritos, so for the sake of the taco argument I will treat them as such and will only argue about hardshell tacos." Lance scoffed at this, but allowed (y/n) to continue. " Secondly, hot dogs are different, though their outside structure is similar the components are what I'm basing my decision on. Third of all, IT DOESN'T MATTER CAUSE ONCE YOU BITE INTO A TACO IT BASICALLY FALLS APART AND YOU HAVE TO EAT IT WITH A FORK! LIKE A SALAD!"

"YOU JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO EAT TACOS RIGHT!"

"OH AND YOU DO?"

"You know I do," Lance smirks. Everyone in the room groans and (y/n) breaks into a fit of laughter, and everyone else groans

"Lance that is disgusting," Keith says.

"My poor innocent ears," Pidge cries, covering her ears.

"I just felt my food goo come up," Hunks complains holding his mouth.

"I do not understand," Allura says confused.

"Well, you see princess, sometimes the word taco is used to reference a gi-,"

"(y/n) that's enough," Shiro says and the girl quiets down giggling before turning back to Lance.

"Anyways, IT'S A SALAD, Lance!"

"NO IT'S NOT!"

"The two were made for each other," Keith groans, and the others agree.

Honestly this was just a short dumb one that I thought would be really fun to write.

I also learned that I did not know how to spell sandwich even though I have been alive for 18 years smh.
