(kinda just an intro with the first episode)

3rd person P.O.V

"Lance I don't think this is such a great idea," (y/n) said, crawling right behind her pilot underneath the window of the instructors lounge at the Garrison on their way to get Pidge for some "team bonding". She shifted her backpack under her stomach to not risk getting it seen. She always brought her little backpack with her, making sure to carry her notebook and pen, and a sweater. And a snack for Hunk.

"Yeah, I'm not too sure about this either Lance, maybe we should just get back to our dorms," Hunk, the mechanic of your crew, agrees.

"You know for two people in a space exploration program, you're lacking in sense of adventure," Lance answers back, standing back up after he passes the window, motioning for (y/n) and Hunk to follow him.

"That's because I don't want to get expelled, so I have a chance to do the space exploration part," huffs (y/n), but nonetheless she follows lance around the corner, a small smile forming on her face.

"Yeah all your "adventures" land us in the principal's office," brings up Hunk. He was right of course, but that didn't stop Lance and (y/n) from telling him to hurry up.

The trio sneak down the dorms of the garrison, hiding from the professors on guard duty. But as you rounded the corner to Pidge's room, the three kids saw their friend sneak out, making his way to the roof. So, they did what any three teens would do if they saw their friend sneaking around: followed him up to the roof and scared the living daylights out of him.

Lance lifted Pidge's headphones and very calmly said "So you come up here to rock out?" Pidge screamed before realizing it was the rest of his crew.

"Oh Lance, Hunk, (y/n). No, um, just looking at the stars," Pidge answers. (y/n) smiles in understanding, she loved looking at the stars, wanting to learn what kinds of new life could be out there, different than the ones here on Earth.

"That right? All the way to Kerberos? You go ballistic every time the instructors bring it up. What's your deal?" (y/n) hears Lance confront Pidge.

"Oh Lance, leave him alone, if he doesn't wanna tell us he doesn't wanna tell us," (y/n) tells Lance, trying to get him to lay off Pidge. He gives (y/n) a thankful smile before yelling at a defeated Hunk to not touch his stuff. (y/n) zoned out staring at the sky in front of her. She wanted to go, she wanted to go to new planets and explore and absorb all the knowledge she could about their universe. She was a huge nerd, no one could deny that, but she didn't care, all she wanted to do was learn about people. All kinds of people. She knew that there were infinite life forms outside of earth, waiting for her to study and get to know. That's why she entered the cadet program, to learn to be a space anthropologist for future encounters with any aliens.

"Holy crow! I can't believe what I'm seeing! That's not one of ours!" (y/n) snapped her head towards Lance as his words brought her out of her head.

"What? What do you mean not one of ours? Let me see!" (y/n) snatched the binoculars out of Lance's hands and saw the alien craft falling towards the ground. "Holy shit!

"It's one of theirs," Pidge says staring at the ship getting closer.

"So, you're saying there really are alien's out there?" Hunk asks, and it's obvious he was getting scared.

"Obviously there are alien's out there Hunk, there is no way we are the only ones in the entire Universe. Now let's go I want to see that ship and whoever is on it!" (y/n) laughs in excitement making her way off the roof to wear the ship was going to land, ignoring the alarms from her school blaring behind her.
