"Now then, you may all return to your duties. Ellen, Pamela you may attend us as we head to breakfast." Vincent commanded.

Ellen walked quietly behind me, while Pamela chose to walk right next to Vincent, sticking out her chest proudly as she did so. No doubt she was looking down at the other staff around us. Silly girl, when I'm finished, you'll wish you were a simple maid again. Touching another woman's husband is a capital offense-

We reached a pair of large doors that were pulled open by two men near them, revealing a large and elegant dining hall that would be able to hold nearly eighty guests or so. Vincent had a seat at one end of the table, and I took my place on his right side. Ellen stood by me dutifully and Pamela did the same. A pair of butlers came out and placed two glasses of red liquid in front of us. I sniffed it, this blood smelled rather nice.

Lifting the glass I had a sip, swirling the thick liquid around with a finger before sucking the residue off. I heard the sound of clattering and looked up to realize Vincent had knocked over one of the forks. As for his face it was quite flushed. I raised an eyebrow, was this because of me playing with my food?

"Naomi, licking your fingers is ill manners at the table." he said as calmly as possible before lifting his glass to his lips.

Oh so it was...he really was a cute little vampire inside. Maybe I should tease him a bit?

"I'm sorry my dear, it just tasted so good, but I'm sure my precious husband tastes better." I pondered.

Vincent practically choked on his drink, but he struggled for a few minutes before swallowing it with a gasp. The look on his face as pure gold, I only wish I had a cellphone to take a picture of this moment. Unfortunately, my appetite was spoiled as Pamela immediately rushed to him and placed her hands on his shoulder.

"My lord are you alright!" she questioned.

Vincent placed a hand over Pamela's, "I'm fine. Thank you for your concern." he said.

Nevermind though, I'd use this opportunity as well. I looked away from the scene feigning hurt.

"Pamela, who said you could touch the Duke? Infront of his wife no less." Ellen huffed after noticing my change in behavior.

I had chosen my attending maid correctly, a girl who could pick up on such tiny signs was truly a blessing for my plans.

"Well, that is-" Pamela removed her hands quickly.

"It's fine Ellen, I am only the lady of the house. My husband can act as he pleases, besides who could resist such a pretty girl?" I finished the rest of the contents of my glass, before standing up.

"Ellen, I think I'm going to take a trip into town. Would you accompany me?" I held her hand.

"Of course my lady." Ellen smiled.

"Ah, Naomi if you plan to shop here's the family insignia, just show them-" I walked past Vincent ignoring him coldly.

He paused and gripped the small gold medallion tightly nearly bending it with his strength. That's it Vincent, I'll get you nice and worked up and leave you to question why you care so. Ellen paused and held out a hand,

"I'll take the insignia for my lady, sir." she said her head bowed.

"Suit yourself." he practically threw it at her before standing up harshly and preparing to leave.

"Ah my lord I'll accompany you!" Pamela said eagerly.

"No you stay behind. I have no use for you." he practically shouted before leaving abruptly.
