Months passed! It's December 2nd, her BIRTHDAY! So I decided to give her a surprise gift, a brand new controller and 'Shuttle Wreck: The Time Cross' edition. 

So I went to her house this afternoon. She was not in her home. Door was closed. I had to wait for a while and then I saw a blue light shining around her door. This is getting weird. After some time, I knocked on the door and found that she came back!?

I act normal. After some time, her friends came too and we had a normal party. 
After her friends left I got the chance to ask her.

"Hey Mary, I wanted to ask you something."

"That you love me? I know that Charles. :)"

"Yes Mary I love you, but this is not what I was going to ask."

"?", Mary is confused and scared.

"I want to ask, what was that strange 'blue light' around your door?"

"No. No no no! Did you see that? It is not what you are thinking. Haha. It is just some sort of lighting. You can forg-"

"Hey. Calm down. Things on Earth weren't pretty well for a couple of months. Many strange things have happened these days. There is a dark cloud over people every afternoon. The people get lost after that.
You can say anything to me and I will never judge you, because whatever problem comes, I'll always be by your side."

A sweet smile on Mary's face. 

"Look. I'm from Earth. But future Earth. I'm a tim-"

"TIME TRAVELER!! Ah. Ok.
I always wanted to see my future."

"Charles! Time traveling is no joke!"

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"You shouldn't be sorry. It's a typical thing everyone asked me.
Time Traveling is not the concern. The reason for coming to this time is to stop Diode!"

"Diode? Wh-"

"Diode is a cyborg, who can enter into people's dreams to haunt them so that people kill themselves when they wake up, or sometimes when they are watching their dream. Diode make it difficult for them to distinguish their reality from their dreams. And eventually made them to suicide!"

"Oh no, my family!"

"Charles, don't worry. I've put a shield around your house and some more people. Diode can't enter their mind even when they are outside their house. I don't have enough resources to protect everyone."

"Oh..Oh no! What's that behind you?"

"Huh?"
