The Dream, Broken

"I don't know. 'A record of every action remains in you.' What are these records?" Charles.
"This is something which is within us, but wha- . And Charles disappeared too. Oof, that's a lot of stress."
Mary turned around and saw a table with a note.
"Huh?" She starts reading the note. 
"Tell yourself your childhood dream. It will help."

"How is my childhood dream gonna help if I say it to myself? Well, maybe it is the only way to know the weirdness around here. Okay, here it goes.
It was the year 3113, I was 8 year old and I had a dream to be a part of space time research organized, UTSRO. At the age of 11, I started my journey and in the 1st month I learn that it is going to be difficult. But no way, I did it. Now I'm a part of UT...S…..R…...O………….Diode…"

Another note fell.
"Another note!"

The note says:
"I guess it's the right time, but you are far. XD.
Your lovely,
D"

"Oh no. NO. I need to find Charles ASAP." Mary starts searching for Charles.

Meanwhile…

"Huh? A note."
The note says:
"You shall not be far. Just believe the person. You know whom I'm talking about.
Diode."
Charles, "Seems to be a nice guy. Let's take some rest………….ouch".
Charles fell on a mid dark floor with one spotlight above him.
"Where am I?"

'Hey, I'm Charles.
Hi, I'm Mary. Nice to meet you.' The sound ends in a large reverberation.

Charles, "What was there!? 'Mary?', I heard that before. Let's see, what's in there. 
It's written Charles's Memory Jar."

Charles walks around the cylindrical room, watching all the screen.

"Hmm. I saw this girl before. Who is sh-"

'Hello, I'm Diode. But you can call me your friend, right?
Never! You are a threat to everyone!
But how did you get in here? Mary, didn't you set up the shield?
I DID!
Yeesh, relax. Have a cup of tea! Mary, I can see anything, go anywhere across people's dreams. Right now you both are in a dream loop and your memory is disconnected, so have fun. Cheer!
Wait! Noooooo' 

The last screen makes Charles remember that it's all a dream!

"Aaaaaaaaaagh.*deep breathing* Diode! The whole time he was just messing with us? Oh man! That's terrible. I need to get out from here. Oh wait the riddle is solved? That was too easy. But HOW? Wish, I had a flying suit...or maybe some stairs?"

Stairs to the exit appeared out of nowhere.

"Waaoo. I was thinking about this for a moment. Wait. WHAT! That is a nice advantage in our dreams. Now time to find Mary."

Mary cries, "How can I be so reckless! I shouldn't have come here! I shouldn't have met Charles. I made a disaster. I cannot stop Diode from ruining this world. Wish, I could talk with Charles even if we are far away."

"I wish too, but it's possible here!" Mary hears Charles's voice.

"But how can I-? Wait! How did you talk!? Aren't you lost, wait hold up..."

Charles, "We are in our dreams! We can do anything. Well I was thinking about talking with you even far away too."

"Oh. I see. Wait. How did you know what I was thinking?" Mary's eyes squinted.

"Oh. Um. I. I. I was. I was thinking about the same too, now let go get out of here!!!"

"Okay." Mary blushed.

Charles's and Mary's dream brought them together. 

Both of them woke up. But here is another note from Diode.

"You guys are awesome! You know, I'm impressed! It's time for some big show. Come join me, no tickets needed. Enjoy. Cheers!
