Synopsis:
Simon attends a bdsm ball with his friend Kate hoping to find a dominant to show him what the London fetish scene is all about. He never expected to be picked up by Richard, a dom known for his dabbling in the darker side of the bdsm world, as a peace offering for his wife Alannah.
Grammar:
I didn't catch any grammar mistakes in this story. I give it a five out of five stars on grammar.
Plot:
This story definitely built suspense. Especially when Richard comes into the bidding and takes  interest in Simon. It flowed well and was easy to follow. However, I got a bit confused when I read the cliff hanger in the epilogue. Later  the author explained it was intentionally ambiguous because she's planning to write a sequel. But I think there  should be a note at the end of the book  to explain, rather than just leaving a  huge cliffhanger with no promise of a sequel. I give this book's plot four out of five stars.
Theme:
I think this story showed that romantic relationships can come in so many different forms. Just because someone's relationship is different from what society deems as normal doesn't mean it's not full of love.
I give the  theme five out five stars.
Character Development:
The author did a great job of describing the characters. I felt like I had a clear picture in my head of what they looked like and there distinct personalities. In terms of characters changing as the story progressed, I would say the only character who really evolved  was Simon.  But even though Richard and Alannah, the other two main characters, were static they didn't feel flat. I give this story five out of five stars on character development.
Additional Notes:
This book had amazing imagery,  when  the author described the dungeons and the costumes I felt like I was really there.

Conclusion:
I give this book 4.75 stars out of five. I'd recommend it to anyone that enjoys romance novels. Just keep in mind that it contains heavy bdsm elements and sexual scenes.
