The last night

95 12 13

Bodies sunken into one another,

so close they start to blend,

as we are moving to the rhythm

of our heartbeats in the end.

Surrendered to each other,

sheltered, tender and warm,

bending by the force of passion

like young trees in a storm.

Time stands still while we are moving,

for these hours are our last.

There will be no sun softly rising,

no tomorrow, just our past.

Don't let go of me now, love,

I know you feel it, too.

We will die inside our solitude

Once this night is through.

Souls reaching deep into one another,

merged forever more.

Remember us and all the laughter

Once the time has closed this door.

Connected thoughts, no need to speak out

what both of us know.

Feel your tears run down my spine,

as you are finally letting go.

The time glass has been broken,

all grains scattered in the storm.

The whispers in the shadows

leave the left one to sadly moan.

Gently as a breath of air

you are whispering in my ear:

'In your heart I will remain as you in mine.'

And then you disappear...
