Kesian's POV
Payson was a bit down yesterday so I hope bringing her over for dinner would cheer her up a little
I glance over at her again as I drive through the empty road shifting and turning around different corners
She's focused on something outside, just her staring into space like that makes me adore her more
She's so beautiful
"It's so beautiful" she whispers then turns to me
"Isn't it?" She's asks and I slowly nod my head, facing my attention back to the road
I heave a sigh
I've been feeling some things lately and it's confusing me, maybe I could talk to my dad when I get home
In no time, I pull up to the driveway and turn off the car, we sit in silence for a bit before I gesture towards the front door
She hops out and I grip her hand but quickly pull it away, afraid my hand could be immensely sweaty
Why am I so nervous
It's just Payson after all, she has met my parents before
*Ding dong*
The doorbell rings in response as I press on it lightly
"Abre la puerta Romano!!" I hear my mother's voice shout from inside
"No!!" I hear my father shout back
"Romano, no me hagas bajar allí"
Payson snickers
Sometimes I forget she understands Spanish too
I hear feet shuffling and the door swings open
"Ay mija" my dad exclaims at the sight of Payson, he pulls her into a hug
"Padre" she replies, the most genuine smile on her face
"Maria dear, Payson es aqui" my father shouts
"Ahhh"
Soon my mother comes rushing to the door, still wearing her apron stained with whatever she was making in the kitchen
"Ohh Payson it's been so long my dear" my mom coos wrapping Payson in a warm hug
"Nice to know you missed me too" I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes
"Come in, come in" my mother steps out of the way and leads us to the living room
"Thank you"
"Ay mama, something smells delicious" Payson comments
"Oh, that is my special dish, I'll make some just for you my dear"
Payson smiles
There goes my heart again
What is up with me
"What's all that racket down-" she paused
"OMGG PAYSON!!" My sister squeals, extremely loud may I add
"No way, Mia???" Payson asks stumbling a bit from Mia's sudden attack
"You've grown so much" Payson exclaims staring with her mouth open
A lot of things that want to go in there right now
"I know right, talk about a glow up" she says twirling around showing Payson her improved self
Now I want attention
I grab Payson's hand and rub her palm
She turns around and smiles at me, I pull her close to my body and she gasps
