"He's lost?" He heard someone ask.
He made his way through the crowd with an abnormally beating heart. He was scared that someone would recognize him. After reaching the main road, he thought of hiring a cab but then he realized it wasn't safe at all.
He only had seven days time!
"Come with me." Soft, fragile fingers curled around his wrist and pulled him somewhere he couldn't see. His hoodie was covering his view. He did not protest as it was an opportunity for him to be least noticed. Whoever the person is, he was thankful for her.
Yes, it's a her..
"Let's stay... oh my God!" The warm fingers loosened around his wrist. "Who are you and where is Ramla?"
He did not want to look up at her and get caught. So, he turned and tried to walk away but she blocked him.
"Hey, mystery man," she clicked her fingers. "I asked you something. I think you watch too many Hollywood movies. What do you think of yourself?"
Fisting his hands, he took a deep breath to console himself. After all, he had his own temper issues. He pulled back his hoodie a bit and looked at her.
She was dressed in an oversized brown sweater with ankle length jeans. He expected her to recognize him but surprisingly, she didn't.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked glaring.
"Mmm... nothing... just... I-I'm lost. I know no one here. When you suddenly pulled me, I didn't know what to say." He said trying to make it sound real.
She looked at him intently from top to bottom. He was trying his best to hide his face from the people around because he was sure that, though the girl opposite to him doesn't know him, others will definitely recognize him.
"But then, you look like someone who is running away from something. Like a serial killer!"
"Mmm.. yeah.. I mean.." He stammered. "I.. want to drink a coffee. Is there any... any cafe nearby?"
"I too was going for a cafe but I'm unable to find my friend Ramla. Didn't you see her? She was wearing a long black frock with white flowers on it. She was also wrapping a white scarf..." She said while looking around for her friend. "Her flats were white too and she was wearing a white watch on her right hand and she was..."
"I. Didn't. See. Her." He cut her off.
"Okay, cool!" She raised both her hands in the air. "Don't get angry mystery man."
"Can you tell me where's the cafe?" His anger was rising. She was kinda testing his patience.
"You can come with me. I'm sure I'm not gonna find Ramla here." Shrugging, she walked to her left. He followed her only after rolling his eyes.
