Am extremely sorry bcoz this story was a bit late...
Hope you enjoy it 🙂
She was talking to her mother-in-law. Her long skirt was pooled around her. Her bangles produced a beautiful music when she moved her hands like a kid while speaking. Mrs.Rizan Ahmed was leaning on her elbow, listening to her daughter-in-law with interest.
The whole family loved the new member. She is very much pampered by Burak's entire family.
Her arms were hidden under the lace shawl. The dress added more beauty to her. Her thick black hair reached her waist. Feeling a heated gaze on her, she turned and met Burak's beautiful eyes.
She mouthed a 'Why?' But he shook his head and passed her a flying kiss. Her cheeks turned crimson.
"Mama, were you teasing her?" Burak came towards them, tieing his hands behind.
"No Gummie, why?" Asked Mrs.Rizan Ahmed.
"Why is she blushing then?" Mrs.Ahmed looked at Thahani who blushed more deeply.
"You, naughty boy!" She shook her head smiling and left the two alone.
"So Gummie bear..." She started but his quick steps towards her, stopped her. She is used to call him from the nickname given to him from his family.
"Say that again." He whispered leaning closer to her.
"Gummie bear!" She took a step back but his arms were already around her.
"Your promise?" He said pointing his lips.
"What?" She acted innocent.
"Oh C'mon Gummie, you're trying to runaway from your promise. And here I thought that you keep your promises." He said making a sad face.
Both of them were now in love with each other and he calls her with his nickname.. to annoy her.
"Okay," she said mustering up all her courage. "But close your eyes!"
"Are you serious?"
"You want it or no?"
"Okay...." He leaned forward closing his eyes. Cupping his chin from her right hand, she kissed his left cheek and ran away laughing, after removing his arm around her.
"Is that all?" He asked holding his cheek, feeling the warmth of her kiss. Though he was disappointed, a smile touched his lips.
Shaking his head, he followed her to the kitchen. She made herself busy with her mother-in-law. He left the kitchen giving her a catch-you-later look.
"So mama," Thahani was asked to address his mother as her mother. "Was Gummie bear always naughty?"
"Trust me, he really was and is. The habit we hate the most in him is, his flying kisses. He's a pro at it. Maaliq sometimes gets furious." Mrs.Rizan Ahmed said recalling the memories.
"Oh, but I like it in him." She said tasting the dish what her mother-in-law was making.
"And that is why you both are meant for each other." She patted Thahani's cheek.
Both Thahani and Mrs.Rizan Ahmed built a strong bond between them for the past two months. They were more like friends.
"Did you go shopping?" Asked Mrs.Rizan Ahmed while Thahani was pinning her hijab.
"Almost. I'm getting fed-up mama. I think walimas should be simple." Replied Thahani.
(Walima: (Arabic: وليمة walīmah), or the marriage banquet, is the second of the two traditional parts of an Islamic wedding. The walima is performed after the nikah (Arabic: نكاح) or marriage ceremony. The word walima is derived from alwalam, meaning to gather or assemble. It designates a feast in Arabic)
