Once we all finished eating Taehyung and I walked back to the room I was left in before.

Y/N "Is this the room I should consider mine?"

Taehyung "Yes. It's mine as well but if you want a different room I'll take you to one of the spare rooms."

Y/N "No this is fine..."

I was concerned about the offer. My face must have shown it too.

Taehyung "Your still wondering about the offer aren't you."

I looked at him, guilt spread across my face. He sighed and sat me down on the bed. He sat next to me, taking my hands in his and looking me in the eye. The way he posed himself and the expression he carried told me this wasn't something to take lightly.

Taehyung "Five years ago I walked into the hospital one of my fathers close friends was in. He was gravely sick, almost no chance he would survive."

My heart hurt seeing the pain in his eye when he spoke.

Taehyung "He was satisfied with his life though. He escaped his abusive wife and raised his daughter properly. He was so proud of her. He told me every time I would visit. She was only seventeen and I nineteen."

The way he looked at me when he explained this made me uneasy. Whom he was talking about seemed so familiar I could almost see the exact person.

Taehyung "Ive always been in this lifestyle. My father was apart of this mafia and such was expected from me. And besides killing bad people, the relationships I made with the other members are ones I will always cherish. He knew that. He knew once I love somebody I never stop. And I'll admit I grow to care about people too fast... he knew that as well."

Mafia. That threw me off guard. But this guy he is talking about just keeps tugging at me like a lost memory.

Taehyung "He asked of me only one thing. To protect his daughter. He knew very well I would grow to love her, but he approved of me. More than my own father did. I agreed, leading him to making me promise. I told him I always keep my word. That day, I held is hand as he took his last breath. That day Jae Hyuk Park made me promise his daughter's safety."

Jae Hyuk Park. Dad. Tears pushed through and all the memories being tugged had surfaced to my mind.
The day he took me to the father daughter dance.
The day I broke my wrist and he stayed up all night just to make sure I was okay.
The day he did his best to make sure my 16th birthday was amazing.
The day he got sick.
The day I had to rush him to the hospital.
The day an officer came to my door and told me my father had passed.

The wall I built to keep my tears and pain and memories of my dad broke in to tiny little pieces.
He had asked Taehyung to protect me. He wanted this. He knew Taehyung and I would both want this before we even knew.

Taehyung "I just had to wait until the right time to approach you."

He said softly as he pulled me into his embrace. I buried myself into his chest and cried even harder.

Stop crying. I thought. This such a stupid reason to cry. You don't need to cry over your dad asking someone to protect you. You already cried over his death so you shouldn't need to cry over that either.

But the tears didn't stop.

After what seemed like hours my tears had finished falling and my eye lids grew heavy. I sucked in an uneven breath before pulling away from Taehyung.
Looking at him, I saw he had tears of his own rolling down his cheeks. I sniffled and put my hands on his cheeks, using my thumbs to wipe them away.

Taehyung "I think we should both go to sleep. If you have more questions we can talk about the over breakfast. It will be just us since Jungkook sleeps until two, and the rest of the guys will be doing field work."

I nodded in agreement and stood up.

Taehyung "I get the left side."

He smiled that boxy smile, warming my heart. I giggled and we both got under the covers.
I closed my eyes and felt Taehyungs arm snake around my waste.

Taehyung "Is this okay?"

He whispered.

Y/N "Yeah."

I whispered back as I took his hand in mine.

Taehyung "Goodnight Love"
