"Why'd you drag me here Mike?"

My older brother Marlon asked as he turned around to face me with a confused look on his face.

We were in Bebe's Jewelry Store looking for a engagement ring for Lisa and the only brother I could count on was Marlon. All my other brother's marriages were unsuccessful, well minus my other older brother Tito, his wife was murdered but that's a whole other story.

I just looked at him for a minute and sighed "Well me and Lisa was talkin' a couple weeks ago annnnd-" his eyes widened, catching on to what I was gonna say "You wanna marry Left Eye!?"

I nodded "Yeah I do, I think, wait no, I know I'm ready"

Marlon crossed his arms and scoffed with a smirk on his face.

I rolled my eyes "What smartass comment do you gotta say Mar?"

He shook his head and smiled, patting my shoulder "No no, I got nothing smart to say. Just know that I'm proud of you lil brother, you finally steppin up and not to mention it's with an amazing woman."

I smiled "You really mean that man?"

He nodded "Yeah! And honestly I thought this would've happened sooner but ain't to too late so you all good"

I laughed, pulling him into a hug. He patted my back "Im real proud of you man"

He let me go and looked around the store.

"You find anything she'd like?"

I shooked my head "Nah, lookin at all them rings, none of em got me feeling anything"

Marlon grabbed my shoulder and shook it "Don't worry you'll find it. When you planning to do it?"

I shrugged "I don't really know, I mean we got so much going on already"

He raised a brow "She's pregnant ain't she?"

I looked around, acting like I didn't know what he was talking. "Who pregnant?"

He rolled his eyes "Nigga! I know you stupid but you ain't that stupid! Lisa's pregnant ain't she!"

I grunted and rolled my eyes "Yes negro if you must know, she is pregnant"

He gave a stupid grin "Imma finally be a uncle! Thank the Lord!"

"Whatchu mean 'finally'? You got other nieces and nephews too Mar"

He waved his hand, blowing me off "Man! Them other demons don't like my ass anyways, you know they all love you Michael!"

I nodded "Yeah, ion know why though"

He shrugged "Whatever, all i know is this one, is gonna love me. They gone love they MarMar. I know it!"

I laughed "MarMar! Really nigga?"

He started laughing too "Yes man! I mean they be calling you Applehead, I need my own nickname!"

I patted his shoulder and shook my head "Whateva man, let's go"

We walked back to the front, about to walk out the store until one ring in particular caught my eye.

I grabbed Marion's shoulder, pulling him back. "Yo Mar! Ain't that a Emerald stone?"

Marlon turned around and stared at it "Yeah, I think so...why?"

"Cuz that's Lisa's birth stone. Her birthday in May, that's her stone!"

I walked closer to it and stared "Marlon...that's the one! 'Cuse me!"

One of the sales ladies came from the back and smiled. "Yes? Did you find what you're looking for?"

I nodded "yeah..that one right there, the Emerald" I watched as the lady took the ring out of the case.

"This one is a 6.0mm Lab-Created Emerald and Diamond Accent Engagement ring"

"How many carrots is it and how much it cost?" Marlon asked, tapping on the glass.

"10k White Gold sir and the price for this is 400"

I looked over at Marlon, he raised a brow "You absolutely sure this the one Mike?"

I nodded and smiled "This the one, I can feel it" I turned to the sales lady "I'll take this one"

"Excellent choice"

Marlon sighed "I can't believe my Lil brother's getting married!"

I shook my head "She gotta say yes first Mar"

He slapped my shoulder "She gonna say yes Michael! She got to!"
