Chapter four: a not so friendly encounter

"We'll see you during class Kell!" I said splitting ways and waving as she headed to the library. I yawned as I walked to my locker but stopped when I heard yelling in the hall opposite of the one I was in.
I shut my locker slowly and quietly and walked to the corner before peeking around and seeing kye and Jake arguing and surrounded by others. I walked over slowly and raised an eyebrow as they didn't notice me.

"GOD DAMMIT JAKE, I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK TO HER!!!" Kye yelled, Jake rolled his eyes "oh yeah cause I'm definitely gonna listen to you" he replied rudely. "YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME WHEN I TAKE THE THRONE!!" Kye yelled again, Jake growled "you...king? Is this a joke" he said.
I bit my lip thinking about if I should step in or not, kye growled and grabbed Jake by the neck before his eyes turned into slits and his hair started hovering. "YOU ARE GOING TO REGRET THAT." He said, Jake chuckled "what when you become "king"" he said.
I took a deep breath slamming my eyes shut and then opening them again as I froze the scene, I sighed and walked over to kye before unlatching his fingers from jakes pressure points and pulling Jake to the cafeteria before grabbing a hot cup of coffee and walking back to kye.
I glared at kye's frozen self before tipping the cup just enough that it didn't spill and froze it above him and latched his fingers around the cup. I unfrozen the scene and ran into the cafeteria before accidentally running into Jake and falling on top of him.
His eyes widened and he smirked "if you wanted to cuddle you coulda just told me" he said, he glared and got up before peeking around the corner and snapping my fingers. Kye unfroze and the cup fell from his hands as hot coffee spilled onto him.
He screamed and stood there shocked before growling and stomping to the bathroom, "pppfttt ahahahaha" Jake burst out in raging laughter and I sighed before walking over to my bag but slipping halfway, Jake spun around and Caught me by the waist before my tail automatically curled around his body.
"So, how about that cuddling" he said, I smirked "in your dreams pretty boy" I replied. He shrugged and let me go before my wings manifested and snapped out, catching me in midair.
"Nice reflexes, but how did I get here?" He asked, I stared at him blankely before face palming "I stumbled upon you guys fighting and stopped the scene before he killed you. So now we're even" I said.
He smirked "you sure you weren't just worried" he said, I clapped my wings before he flew back into a wall and I walked over my wings disappearing as my lips barely brushed his "maybe I was worried...maybe I wasn't..." I said.
He blushed as he opened his mouth slightly to let me in right as kye stomped into the cafeteria and growled. I looked over at him as he locked eyes with us, I hadn't realized jake's hand was on my waist until kye's eyes narrowed to slits. Jake glanced at me and pulled me against him before kissing me passionately, my eyes widened and kye growled his hair floating again.

"FINE BE WITH HER. BUT YOUR OUT OF THE GROUP." he yelled before stomping out of the cafeteria, Jake slowly opened his eyes and looked at me without pulling away causing me to blush madly and I pushed myself away from him.
"I-I...I need to get to class" I said running off.

I let my hands drop in frustration and I sighed.
