Chapter nineteen: shot through the heart

Leo opened the door and kye walked out right when Ben flew into the room, kye ran over and kissed him deeply before helping him with masky.

I looked at Jake who smiled and walked out of the room, I looked at Leo who frowned "so. What "did" that kiss mean?" He asked. I raised an eyebrow "just think of it as a payment for going to the dance with me" I said winking.

He rolled his eyes "slutty much" he said, I smirked "not even close sweetheart, remember I belong to someone else" I said leaving the room completely.

He watched me as Jake and I snuck by masky and went to help the others just as something snakes into the hallway and grabbed me by the neck, I screamed automatically recognizing the tendril as slenders.

Jake spun around and sprinted towards me as I was dragged into the main entrance, "LET HER GO!" Jake yelled stopping short when he saw his dad standing next to him wiping off his scalpel.

"D-dad...your helping him..." Jake choked out, e.j. Looked up at him his eyes widening "how are you alive?" He said going strict again.

I struggled, kicking and thrashing around I gasped for breathe as slender pulled me close to him and held a knife to my neck. Jake growled an glared at him "PUT. HER. DOWN." He yelled.

Slender laughed and looked at e.j. "Get control of your child." He snapped, e.j. Nodded and sprinted towards Jake before they disappeared from the room.

"Now..."Princess."" Slender drew out the word "princess" in a sinister way before continuing "how about we put that "Heart" of yours to a stop" he sneered.

I gasped for breathe as he tightened his grip on my neck, I kicked and thrashed more just as one of slenders tendrils pierced through my arm and ripped it off.

I screamed and cried as another tendril shot towards my leg, just barely missing it and only leaving a scratch.

I screamed again but it was muffled this time just as he covered my mouth with a tendril again. The door to the entrance slammed open and a woman ran in, she looked exactly like Jake but female and she looked over her eyes wide before she put a finger to her lips in a "shhh" gesture and walked slowly behind slender.

I cried and let my eyes wander so he wouldn't suspect just when his whole body went lifeless, I dropped and hit the ground in pain just as the woman ran over.

"Are you alright darling?" She asked.

I shot a look of pain and she nodded "good point. Let's get you somewhere safe" she said.

I nodded weakly before she wrapped her arm around my waist and helped me stand, I gasped in pain and she frowned "hang in there okay?" She said.

I winced as she helped me to lela and i's room, lela stood up quickly from tending to her own wounds and helped the woman set me on the bed.

"Who are you....?" I choked out, the woman smiled "I'm Jake's mother" she said. I stiffened "what?"

She giggled "I'm Anistasia...but you can call me ani" she said, I winced as lela tended to my wound "the war is starting to call down...we've lost a lot of people..." she said, ani paced the room "I should go help Jake...if he uses to much of his power he'll wear himself out" ani said, I sighed "he'll be fine..." I mumbled, she spun towards me "not when he's up against his father...they compare in power but his father will always be stronger..." she explained.

I frowned and she sighed "don't worry, I'll make sure he doesn't overwork himself" she said leaving the room.

Lela looked at me and smiled "don't worry they'll both be okay, ani has been here for so long I know how powerful she is" she reassured me, I nodded and smiled only for my cheek to flame up in pain.

Lela raised an eyebrow "that's weird..." she mumbled, I looked at her "what?" I asked. She looked at me in concern "a cut just appeared out of nowhere on your cheek..." she said, I reached up and touched my cheek feeling the warm fresh blood on my fingers.

I swallowed in fear before lela looked at my half missing arm "what cut off your arm....?" She asked worried.

"Um...slendy ripped it off..." I said in pain, her eyes widened "I need to find splendor." She said standing up "what why?" I asked.

"Cuts don't just randomly appear like that unless some sort of acidic fluid was injected into you somewhere...and all the slender brothers have acidic fluid in their blood...therefore....slendy most likely transferred his blood into you when he ripped your arm off on purpose" lela explained in horror.

My eyes widened "and that fluid will eat you from the inside out if we don't stop it. And splendor is the only one who can stop it" she said running out of the room.

I sighed gripping my arm in pain and leaned backwards slowly on the bed careful to not hurt myself any more then I already had. The door opened again and Leo rushed in shutting the door behind him and looking at me "oh my god what happened to your arm?!" He asked worried as he ran over to me.

I groaned "slendy happened." I said, his eyes widened just as I stood up and looked at him and frowned "listen..." I started and he glared "don't even. I don't want to talk about it." He said already pissed off.

I rolled my eyes just as his widened and something pierced through my back and through my heart, I gasped and then everything went black.
