Chapter Four

I'm just parking my car in the garage at the moment, I just arrived by the way. To tell you honestly, i'm having a bad feeling about this sudden family dinner. Ewan ko pero parang may iba. Dati kasi pag may family dinner kami laging si kuya Edmund ang tumatawag, ang Butler namin. Baka nago-over think lang talaga ako, 'no?

Bumaba na ako sa kotse at pumasok na. Agad akong sinalubong ni kuya Edmund.

"Welcome back, young Miss." Masayang wika nito. Ngumiti ako sa kanya bago nag salita.

"Sabing Brie nalang wag ng Miss, kuya Edmund." I corrected. Ngumiti lang sya sakin.

I look around."Where is everyone, kuya?

"Your Mom is at the kitchen, young Miss. Your Dad will arrive any minute now. While your grandpa is in the gazebo." He informed.

"Oh.. is that so? Well then, I'm just gonna go to my room then." He just nodded.

I went upstairs and enter my room. I lay down in my bed and stare at the chandelier in the ceiling. There are so many things to do in college... But this is needed so there is no place for hesitations and quiting. Partida, first two days palang yan. Pano na 'pag natapos ko na ang 5 years ng med school? Tapos ano? May residency pa at fellowship. Well, ginusto ko naman to, e.

Tumayo ako at pumunta sa walk-in closet ko dito. Is it me? Or may nadagdag lang talaga sa mga damit ko. Nilapitan ko ang mga ito at sinuri. Hala ang gaganda! Masukat nga..

At ayon! Sinukat ko nga ang mga ito. Pero may isang bagay na bagay sakin kaya naisipan kong i-palit yun sa suot ko. It's a petite premium black bandage organza sleeve mini dress. I just find it suitable for the event because my family dressed formally during our dinners. I paired it with a black shoe land ankle strap chunky platform heel. I brought my silver Michael Kors mini shoulder purse. I fixed my hair and retouched my make-up. Saktong pagkatapos ko ay may kumatok sa pinto. Naglakad ako papunta doon at binuksan iyon. Si Mom lang pala.

"Dear, why didn't you informed me that you were here already?" Naka-pout na wika ni Mom. Nginitian ko sya bago mag-salita.

"Sabi kasi ni kuya Edmund nasa kitchen ka po so.. I concluded that you are busy. That's why I just went upstairs." She just nod at me. "By the way, Mom?"

"What is it, dear?" Malambing nitong tanong.

"I just noticed that there are clothes in my closet that seems to be brand-new. Do you bought them for me?" I asked curiously.

"Oh.. that!" She exclaimed while I just nod. "That was from mine and your dad's friend. Naalala mo pa ba si Tita Claudia and Tito Ruven mo?" Tanong nito.

Kumunot ang noo ko bago sumagot. "Opo." Sagot ko. "Pasabi nalang po na salamat. They are beautiful so i chose to wear one of them" I giggled afterwards. She looked at me and smiled.

"Ang ganda naman ng baby ko! Mana sa Mommy!" She giggled and I chuckled. "Come on, dear! Your Dad's here na, let's go down." Aya nito. I nodded and followed her at the kitchen. Nandun na si Lolo at Dad pero what's shocking is the person sitting with them. Nandito na sya?!

"Little Sis!!" Masayang sinalubong ako nito ng yakap. I answered it and pulled away. Binatukan ko sya bago mag-salita.

" Bakit 'di mo sinabing nandito ka na, kuya?!" Masama ang tingin ko dito pero tatawa-tawa lang ito habang hawak ang leeg. Tsk!

"It's actually a surprise. Hehehe!"

"It is!" Pagdidiin ko. "You really shocked me there!"

"Peace!" Sabi nito ng naka-peace sign pa at bumalik na sa upuan nya.
