For the first time, she did something she didn't second guess! She was sure, certain, felt it in her bones that this is what she wants to do.

Naeemah clench her lips in pain as the shrubs she was hiding close to kept poking her skin. After Mr Yaari dropped her off she quickly took a cab and followed him. Raeesa's family were going to get the ransom today and she knew he wanted to be there just not to be seen.

She already told Humaira what happened and although Humaira was shocked, She knew her cousin kind of expected it. She always thought Mr Yaari was in some sort of foul play.

Naeemah made sure to only tell Humaira that she figured out Mr Yaari did it and she might know where he kept Raeesa. She also told her she'll get the location and then they will inform the police but never told her the process.

If Humaira knew what Naeemah intended on doing, she would never have allowed her out of the house.

Her cousin had warned her, if only she took her warning but instead she started feeling like Humaira was being selfish.

"And you even fought with her over that" Her conscious whispered which she quickly shoved and ignored. She was already dealing with the guilt of dragging Raeesa into all this. If she hadn't invite Mr Yaari into her life, none of this would have happen.

Obsessed with the "Instagram" perfect couple life, she wanted the same thing. If only she knew there was so much more to reality than that.

The buzzing of her phone snapped her out as she quickly scolded herself for dozing off. Glancing over at her phone she realized it was the reminder she set "It's time"

She quickly sent a quick risky text to her cousin and silently prayed that even if she didn't make it out alive, at least her family will know where and how she died.

"I've followed Mr Yaari to where he kept Raeesa, and although I can't see him anymore I know it's this route. I'll send you the address as soon as I know exactly where she is and you inform the police. I'll try to film evidence and stay as far and as safe as possible. Please do get here on time, our safety is on that.

Love: Naeemah
P.s I'm sorry for not believing at first. Reality is much harsher lol"

Not being able to wait for a reply,Naeemah hid further more into the bushes as she saw a gang of men on motorbikes dressed in camouflages each with a gun.

There were about 20 of them and she made sure none of them saw her. The first five each had two men while the other have victims. There was an old man, a young teenage girl, a man probably in his mid 40's and a youth. They were all terrified especially the young girl who was sobbing hysterically.

Naeemah waited until they were all gone before she quietly stood up and started walking towards the direction she took. With her walking and watching out, she spent hours and didn't realize it until she felt her legs giving out and she fell to the ground with a pulp.

Breathing heavily, Naeemah checked her phone to see if there was any message from Humaira but they wasn't. Mainly because there was absolutely no network.

Heaving a sigh, Naeemah lied down on the grasses ignoring the stings on her back and gently closed her eyes.

It was pass two hours but it felt like minutes when Naeemah opened her eyes with a snap. From the distance she could hear the roaring of motorbikes and quickly stood up. Terrified, she looks for any nearby tree, tall bushes, grasses, anything to hide her. Luckily there was a bush nearby and she could pretty much hide there.

Ignoring the pain and stab in her legs, she quickly raced to the bush just as the motorbikes came into view.

The first man caught a glimpse of something going into the grass and stopped causing the four other behind him to stop with a questioning look

"What? One of them snapped

"I saw something" The first man replied

"What do you mean you saw something? Who would be stupid enough to come here?

"Someone who is escaping, a spy, an intruder, an ambush of soldiers" I can actually go on and on! The first man barked making them all take a step back

"Let's go check then" One of the men said and they all took their guns and walked to where Naeemah laid.

She was silently crying, praying and trying not to sob. She was desperately hoping the dark won't allow them see her. Never has she ever felt the height of fear like she did right now, at this moment. It felt like the world stopped, and everyone is looking at her right before she gets killed.

Hot sweats drizzled down her neck as fat tears cascaded her cheeks. She clenched her lips tightly and kept clasping and unclasping her hands as their torch lights moved pass her like lasers

"There's nothing here. Let's go it's getting late" one of the men said

"Let's go" Another added as she heard the footsteps of some fading while one persistently kept looking around

His torchlight moved forward, backward, forward, backward again then stopped as he moved a bit closer. Naeemah's heart beating right into her mouth. He took a step

A step, and a step again. His light coming more and more into view. Devouring the grasses that hid her and zeroing on her when......

"Can we go already? Boss is calling and you know he doesn't like latecomers"

The call from the men made the man loose focus and glance over to them. Naeemah took the opportunity and quietly moved further into the grass

The man nodded and looked back only to meet with the grasses and soil. He looked harder and saw nothing.

Contemplating whether to leave or to stay and search, he finally turned away and they left.

Naeemah waited until she heard the fading of their bikes before a tear slid down, another tear and another and then a full sob. She quietly stood up and look around closing her mouth with her hand to stop her cries

With wobbling legs, she walked out of the bushes and to a nearby tree. Slumping down on its truck she sighed and look up to the stars and moon

"Alhamdulillah Ya Rabb" She whispered wiping a tear

Her lord has always been enough for her.

And so leaving everything in the hands of her lord and knowing He alone can protect her, she closed her eyes with a peaceful sigh.
