So, before you go
Was there something I could've said to make it all stop hurting?
It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless
So, before you go

P.O.V. Deku:

I woke up again, though I still felt dead inside. Ad there it was again. These noises. Muffled, but still loud. I felt beads of sweat run down my forehead. Where am I?

I was unable to open my eyes. Somehow it didn't work. Something seemed to be stopping me, but I couldn't determine what it was. I focused on these voices. I couldn't match what they said, but I could hear a worried familiar voice. It was obviously a female voice. It was very loud and my ears ached from it.

I tried to go back to sleep, but it didn't work. My heart was beating very slowly, but my head was all messed up. I thought about who I was. Which I shouldn't have done. It gave me an incredible headache because I didn't know it. I didn't know anything anymore. Some pictures hovered in my head, but disappeared again immediately. I clenched my fist weakly with my right hand.

Wait!

I could move!

I now moved my left hand. It was tiring and my eyes filled with tears, but it was worth it. The only evidence that made me feel alive again.

I was now trying to open my eyes too. It was more exhausting than expected. My eyelids trembled slightly, but I couldn't open them for some reason.

I pressed my fingernails into the palm of my hand.

Damn it. Damn it. Damn it.

I started to wonder if I was alive at all. Maybe I was just dead, lying in a coffin. No. Definitely not. I tried to drive this absurd thought out of my head.

Easier said than done.

Suddenly I felt a touch on my body. I opened my eyes and my head snapped up. Beads of sweat ran down my face.

It was probably a pretty unexpected reflex. At that moment my eyes were very sensitive to the glaring light, which I could suddenly notice.

You have to imagine, you see a few colored dots, totally blurry and indistinct.

I heard a male, adult, but still bright voice, which said something that I did not understand.

Over time, my eyes got used to the light and I could see where I was.

I am honest.

I didn't like what I saw.

Actually, I hated it.

My eyes wandered through the bare room in which I was.

I was lying on a completely white, hard bed frame, to my left were three other beds. I myself was wearing a white sleep shirt with blue dots, which smelled disgusting of mint.

To my right was a small metal table on which stood soup, bread, and a cup of tea.

My eyes went on. In this room hung a lot of posters on which bodies were depicted.

I made a face. Otherwise the room was pretty empty. Only one door with a lock left, which is why I suspect that it was a toilet.

I winced when I suddenly felt a big hand on my shoulder again. I looked around to my left. How could I have overlooked this guy?

It was a brown-haired man with oval glasses. His hair was combed nicely to the side. He was wearing a white coat and black, sloppy jeans.

My eyes flew back to his face, which I eyed curiously. He grinned broadly and kindly at me so that I could see that he had pointed teeth like a vampire.
