Todoroki only ate half his bowl of soba. Pretty understandable since his stomach is super tiny now.
So he was just sitting quietly swinging his feet off the edge of his chair. He was watching the dekusquad conduct their conversation, mostly fixated on Iida since watching him flail his arms and chop the air was kinda funny.
"--and that's why water itself is not wet." Iida proposed, nodding before sitting back down in his seat and taking a drink of water.
Tsu cocked her head to the side and put a finger to her chin, "But water is wet because water is surrounded by other water molecules, right? The molecules are touching, so water would then be wet, the water molecules are getting each other wet. Ribbit." She rebutted. She should know, water is an area of her expertise.
"Sorry, but I have to agree with Tsuyu." Midoriya said.
"Tsu." She corrected. Honestly, it was a mystery why she even tried to keep correcting him.
Uraraka narrowed her eyes, "I dunno, I'm not convinced." She said slowly, glancing at Iida who nodded proudly that he had someone on his side.
Midoriya smiled some, "We need a tiebreaker," He turned to look down at Todoroki, giving him a little tap on the shoulder so he'd look up, "Shoto, do you think water is wet?" He asked.
Todoroki blinked a few times, looking around at everyone staring at him, "Um.....yes." He answered slowly, kind of confused by the question.
Midoriya and Tsu high-fived.
"That's not fair, he's only three!" Uraraka declared.
Todoroki actually pouted at her. Yeah, he knew that number and knew a part of him thought she was right but then a different, growing smaller, part of him felt like being called such a young age was wrong. He couldn't think of any reason why, but he still felt that way anyways!
Uraraka couldn't help but chuckle at his expression, "Sorry, Todoroki." She told him.
"M big kid." Todoroki defended, puffing out his chest some.
Midoriya smiled too, resting his cheek in his hand and looking down at the kid beside him, "So how old are you?" He asked, almost as a tease.
Todoroki pursed his lips for a moment and narrowed his eyes, "....big..." He repeated with another puff of his chest.
Everyone at the table burst out laughing, much to Todoroki's confusion. Did he do something funny? He was just telling the truth! He's a big boy and he knows it! Bigger than three at least! Maybe. Honestly, he's not too sure anymore.
The end-of-lunch bell rang and everyone collected their things.
Midoriya placed Todoroki up on his shoulders so he could carry the tray with both hands. Todoroki just settled his face into Midoriya's hair.
Soft.
Very soft.
He likes soft things.
Uraraka snickered some as she dumped her trash into the bin. Oh god, this was so adorable.
After Midoriya's hands were free again, he gently tapped Todoroki's leg, "You happy up there, bud, or you want me to hold you in my arms?" He asked.
"Sof'." Came Todoroki's muffled voice. Guess he's happy where he's at.
Meanwhile, after dumping their trash, Bakugou made a B-line to the bathroom. He'd drank a fuck ton of water with his lunch so he was bound to need a restroom break.
