Chapter 24: Back to the Dorms

Todoroki was a little disappointed he had to sit in his own seat and couldn't sit on Midoriya's lap like before but that was quickly overshadowed by his reunion with his blanket. He spent the whole car ride with his face buried in it. Though, it was kind of sad that it was much smaller than him now and he couldn't wrap himself up like a burrito in it anymore. But, he can manage for now. 

Meanwhile, Kirishima was struggling to keep Bakugou's hands away from his mouth. It's so weird to glance over and see your bro with his thumb in his mouth. 

"Dude, your quirk makes your palms sweat not-so-healthy-to-ingest stuff." He told him, once again grabbing Bakugou's wrist and pulling it away. Bakugou shot him an angry glance before pouting and looking away.

"That's dumb." He grumbled. He just wants to do what he wants and right now he wants to suck his thumb. He huffed after a moment but turned back to look at Kiri, "What about my paci?" He asked. Kirishima and Midoriya both cringed. It was so strange hearing big Bakguou's voice say that. And it'd be even worse to see the guy with a pacifier. 

"I dunno, man..." Kirishima mumbled, feeling very conflicted. This would most certainly turn into some blackmail material if their classmates caught them. But also Bakugou was starting to get worked up and Kiri didn't exactly want to deal with a super powered tantrum.

"Everyone's probably busy with dinner and homework so there probably won't be too many people to see." Midoriya said, also wanting to avoid a tantrum. 

Kirishima let out a little sigh and reached into the bag of the miscellaneous supplies they brought along, finding the pacifier with the flames and reluctantly handing it over to Bakugou, who grinned and happily accepted it. 

Kiri stared for a moment at his bro-friend before looking the other way.

This is weird.

And kind of awkward. 

Eventually they pulled up to the school and everyone got out. 

Todoroki obviously wanted to be carried again but Midoriya shook his head with a sigh.

"I can't carry you all the way to the dorms, sorry, you're gonna have to walk." He said, offering a hand for Todoroki to take. Midoriya used his quirk a lot today in his work study and didn't wanna put more strain by using full cowl to carry someone bigger than him when Todoroki can just walk. Todoroki frowned but accepted the hand, holding his blanket tight with the other as he shuffled along behind Midoriya. 

Bakugou was about to just dart off once he stepped foot out of the car but Kirishima managed to grab his arm, "Whoa, hold it there, big man, it's getting dark, you can't just run off." He told him, getting out of the car and taking hold of the blonde's hand. Bakugou furrowed his brows at the redhead.

"But I'm big!" He protested, voice muffled from behind his paci. 

"I know but you could get lost or someone could attack you and I just wanna make sure you stay safe, okay?" Kiri tried explaining, just wanting to go to bed. Recovery Girl really drained his stamina when she healed him so he was pretty exhausted. 

"I can fight! I'm big and strong!" He insisted, raising his free arm and flexing his muscles as proof. Kiri smiled a little. Bakugou is so cute.

"Yes you are but even big and strong guys need to stay safe." He said as he began leading them away, "And need to get to bed soon." He added, both to Katsuki and himself. Though, Bakugou seemed far from ready to go to bed.
