A/N: Damn we almost at 600 and whoops sorry I haven't updated in a while

_____________

This training took up two class periods and they were only 10 minutes into the second half. Aizawa could tell the class was getting tired but he just yelled to keep going.

Maybe he should let them call it a day.

Fuck no.

What kind of pussy would he be letting these heroes-in-training take a break when they're a little tired?

Cry me a fucking river.

Villains aren't gonna let you take a little breather.

Bakugou had abandoned his blanket and was now standing up imitating various fighting stances and moves the other students were doing.

"Back leg straight." Aizawa pointed out. If Bakugou is gonna follow along, he might as well do it right. Does this count as participation? Sure, why not.

Bakugou huffed through his nose before correcting his stance and then swinging up his leg in a roundhouse kick. The momentum sent him off balance and crashing to the floor.

Todoroki gasped.

"Fuck." Bakugou mumbled, pushing himself up.

Todoroki gasped again, slapping his hands over his ears.

Aizawa raised his eyebrows, "Did you just say 'fuck'?" He asked, wanting to clarify.

Bakugou smiled and proudly put his hands on his hips, "I know ALL da big kid words!" He announced.

Aizawa pursed his lips before a big smile grew on his face, "Nice." He complimented with a nod. He's never been prouder of Bakugou than in this moment.

They turned their attention back to the sparring, where Uraraka and Midoriya had taken their place on the mat and began. This was the 'no quirks' round so they were just going at it with old fashioned fisticuffs.

Bakugou was absolutely enthralled while Todoroki had turned away and was just laying down on his back facing the ceiling. Todoroki didn't like watching people fight. It always ended in someone getting mad or someone getting hurt. So he'll just stare at that kickball stuck in the rafters.

A gasp came from the class as Uraraka's fist landed hard against Midoriya's face, immediately making his nose start bleeding.

Aizawa sighed and stood, beginning to make his way over.

"ZUKU!" Bakugou yelled out and darted over as fast as his little legs could carry him.

"Oh my god, Deku, I'm so sorry! I was sure you were gonna dodge that!" Uraraka explained, hands over his mouth.

Midoriya waved one of his hands, "It's okay! I'm fine! Just need a tissue!" He assured her, skipping a breath for a moment as he quickly went to catch some blood that pooled out from his nose.

Bakugou stopped in front of Uraraka and glared at her, "YER A FUCK FER HURTIN' MY BES' FRIEN'!" He screamed, kicking her in the shin. She keeled over some, honestly more surprised by Bakugou's anger about Deku being hurt than her herself getting hurt.

Bakugou turned to look at Midoriya and immediately burst into tears upon seeing his friend covered in blood. He scrambled over and pitifully grabbed onto his shirt, "Z-zuku's gunna DIE!" He sobbed.

Midoriya couldn't help but smile some, "Kacchan, I'm gonna be okay, I promise." He tried assuring him, moving his mostly clean hand to rub his tiny friend's back. He forgot how protective Bakugou used to be over him. And also, he hasn't heard that old nickname in forever. All this makes him wish they could've stayed as close as they were. Everything changed once Bakugou got his quirk and Midoriya didn't. They were no longer equals looking out for each other. Midoriya was a weakling that didn't deserve Bakugou's amazing talent to protect.

Kind of sad.

But, let's think of the good right now.

Which is that Kacchan probably still has a twinge of this care for Midoriya deep down in him.

So let's just revel in the positive until Kacchan is back to putting up all those walls.

At least there's some consistency in Bakugou's reactions, though. He's always had huge emotions that all just manifested in anger as he got older. It's nice to see the range now.

Aizawa finally got over, "Let's get you some tissues and make sure there's nothing serious here." he stated, nodding for Midoriya to follow.

Which, he did, but was a little slow considering the toddler still sobbing and clinging onto him for dear life.

They got to the locker room and Midoriya sat on one of the benches as Aizawa tossed him a roll of paper towels before rummaging around for the first aid kit.

Bakugou glared out the door as if trying to smite Uraraka with his mind. Midoriya chuckled, "She didn't mean to hurt me, Kacchan." He told him, bunching up a paper towel and holding it to his nose.

Bakugou huffed, "Imma kill 'er." He threatened, still sniffling with a few stray tears rolling down his cheeks.

Midoriya rolled his eyes. So dramatic, "Don't say that, it's mean." He tried saying. It was kinda useless to tell Bakugou not to talk about death or threaten to murder but it was worth a shot, "Here, you got snot down your face." He offered, ripping off a paper towel and wiping the little guy's face.

Bakugou just furrowed his brows as Midoriya cleaned him up. He stood and walked over to the sink, getting help from Aizawa so he could wash all the blood off his hands while someone held the paper towel to his nose.

He sat back down and Bakugou scooted close, his little arms crossed.

"Dis is why I gotta protec' you." He mumbled, pointing a finger at Midoriya. This made the greenette smile.

If only Bakugou was this sweet all the time. If he didn't turn into a bully who terrorized Midoriya.

Though, it's kinda strange that Bakugou remembers who Midoriya is but isn't questioning why he's bigger and older. And why he seemed comfortable with the rest of the class. Maybe he just had some sort of gut feeling left over from his big kid memories that he can trust them all. And maybe he's just too young right now to be considering why any of this is going on.

Which reminds him, "Hey, Kacchan, how old are you?" He wondered as he switched tissues. Luckily his nosebleed was beginning to subside.

"Free!" Bakugou declared proudly, holding up three fingers.

Yeah, that's what Midoriya thought. He let out a little sigh before forcing a smile.

"You're so smart Kacchan!" He complimented, ruffling the blonde's hair. Bakugou smiled big, happily swinging his legs. It was nice to see such genuine emotions from him. Maybe, just maybe, this can influence Bakugou in a positive way when he's back to normal.

We can only hope.

After a few minutes, Midoriya's nosebleed was little more than a speck on the tissue so he rolled a fresh one up to stick up his nose. Aizawa, he, and Bakugou finally came strolling out of the locker room.

"Sorry!" Uraraka repeated, still feeling awful about punching him.

"Hurry up and get back to work, we need to make up for lost time." Aizawa announced as he walked past the huddled groups of students.

This was followed by rounds of mumbling and grumbling.

Once he cleared them, he stopped in his tracks.

"Where the hell is Todoroki?" He asked, staring at the abandoned blanket by the wall.

The room went dead silent.

And then broke into a frenzy of checking every nook and cranny to find the missing three year old.

"Anything?" Aizawa called. Several variations of 'no' answered him.

Shit.

Todoroki was nowhere to be seen.
