Bakugou clumsily spun his pencil in his fingers. It kept falling and he had to go extra slow but whatever. He can't focus on anything right now. He's forgotten just how loud everything is. It's so frustrating how every damn thing in here makes noise.
Like the hum of the overhead lights or Kaminari chewing gum with his mouth open. Mineta's mouth breathing and Mina's bouncing leg that caused her chair to squeak. Or the godawful sounds the chalk make on the chalkboard. It's infuriating. The worst one, though, was shitty Deku's annoying pen-clicking.
How the hell does anyone focus in class with all this distraction?! Usually, he can just hear Aizawa's voice in class but now it feels like he could hear the blood pumping through every student in here.
And now he doesn't have an easy way out by turning off his hearing aids. He's forced to listen to every goddamn thing.
He huffed in frustration, glancing at the clock. School was almost over for the day. He can last fifteen more minutes. Hopefully.
Meanwhile, Todoroki had organized and reorganized every notebook in his desk. He was incredibly bored. Usually he was in class. Though, at least with a teen body, he could get himself to focus. Now, if he tried listening to Aizawa talk, he made it about three words until he stopped understanding what Aizawa was saying and his attention drifted elsewhere. Like, maybe watching the little fly bang into the window repeatedly trying to get in. Or watching the seconds hand on the clock go round and round. Or, in this past case, notice his notebooks aren't in any sort of order and making a change of that. Right now they're in rainbow order.
Why?
Because.
He could barely even see over his desk to the front of the classroom anyway, making it harder to listen since he didn't have a visual to accompany Aizawa's voice.
He started swaying his head back and forth slightly, closing his eyes and trying to focus in on the lesson. Though, there wasn't much substance right now considering it was just kind of a recap of the day and reminder about any upcoming assignments.
He was about to legitimately fall asleep when...
The bell finally rang.
Todoroki flinched at the loud sound, hand gripping his shirt. He could practically feel his heart beating out of his chest. Tomorrow, he's definitely bringing his noise cancelling headphones.
Midoriya collected his things in his backpack and headed back to Todoroki's desk, "We better get that assignment done tonight." He pointed out, nodding towards the reminder on the board. It wasn't until the end of the week but Midoriya wanted to finish that before Todoroki and Bakugou's memories are gone. He didn't wanna actually say that part, though. With it being a touchy subject and all.
Todoroki slid off from his chair, "...okay..." He said softly, beginning to follow Midoriya out.
"We better get going with them." Kirishima told Bakugou as he strode over to his desk.
Bakugou sighed, "Wha'ever." He grumbled, hopping off from his chair and shoving his hands in his pockets before leading the way out.
Kirishima just smiled and followed.
Midoriya and Kirishima, along with their two little companions, were the last ones to get back to the dorm building. By then, many of the students were already changed into pajamas to lounge around while others were obviously in their rooms doing homework.
Midoriya got to the second floor, where his room was, and watched as Todoroki was barely up the first flight of stairs. Oh gosh. Todoroki's dorm is on the fifth floor. That might be too much for his little legs. Maybe Midoriya should offer to carry him up. But then, what if Todoroki gets up in the morning and since he's all tired, doesn't look where he's going, and so falls down the stairs?! He could literally die! Oh no!
"Wanna sleep in my room while you're like this? I don't want you having to go up all those stairs." Midoriya told him once Todoroki made it to the second floor.
Todoroki glanced up, "No t'anks." He answered simply. He can handle this. He'd rather sleep in his own room on his own bed anyway. He hates sleeping in unfamiliar places.
Midoriya blinked a few times. On one hand, that reply surprised him. But on the other, he should've absolutely expected it.
"B-but are you sure you can get to the fifth floor okay? And get back down??" Midoriya asked, concern about this guy's safety getting stronger.
Todoroki shrugged, "Pro'ly." He stated. He could probably make it. He'd be very tired, yes, but he could make it.
"O-okay...just...text me if you need anything, I guess." Midoriya finally said, defeated, "Here's the bag of the clothes we got today." He added, handing over the grocery bag.
Todoroki just took the bag and started up the next flight of stairs.
"Uh...meet you downstairs to work on the homework, okay?" Midoriya called, watching Todoroki for a moment before going to his own room to drop his stuff off and change.
Meanwhile, Kirishima made it up to the fourth floor where his and Bakugou's rooms were and stood at the top of the stairs, leaning against the wall as he waited for his friend. Kiri offered to carry him but oh no heaven forbid Bakugou takes the easy route.
"Shud up!" Bakugou huffed once he reached the top, pointing an angry finger up at Kiri. It was obvious he was out of breath and doing everything in his power to hide it. Very poorly, might I add. Kiri just smiled.
"Here's your clothes, there should be a pair of pj's or two in there. One I picked special." Kirishima told Baku, handing him the bag with a wink. As they walked down the hallway, Bakugou glanced in the back.
"I'm gon' kiw you." He grumbled, grabbing the second pajamas Kirishima picked and throwing it at him.
"Oh come on, bro, we could match!" Kirishima whined, holding up the adorable baby shark onesie and smiling to show off his own set of shark teeth. (see below image for reference)
"Ovew my dead fuckin' body." Bakugou stated before slamming his bedroom door shut. Kirishima sighed.
It was worth a shot.
Maybe once Bakugou's mind matches his tiny body, Kiri can convince mentally three year old Bakugou to dress up as a cute baby shark.
Imagine the cute pictures Kiri could take.
Just thinking about it warms his heart.
Yeah, he's definitely dressing Bakugou up in this thing eventually.
