Chapter 3 - Trying to save his dumb ass

A year ago
It's been 3 days and nothing that weird has happened. I mean if we don't count the various visions and dreams I have a day of  demon..and John and.. uhg honestly I don't know what. Wow has this what my life's gotten to? Just throwing the word demon around like it's totally normal. I don't know why I haven't looked for John for more answers but I figured I'd get myself together first. I'm running low on money and I'm pretty sure my land lord is close to kicking me out so my life's going great how about you? I told Justice about John but decided to leave the demon part out. Ever since I've learnt that demons are real and are for some reason after me, I've been pretty jumpy.

"So why don't you go look for him?" She said excitedly.
"I don't know Jay I guess I've been distracted." I replied.
"Do you like him?" She said wiggling her eyebrows at me.
"No no god no I'm just curious. Besides, you know me I'm not really the lovey dovey type." I said.
"Mhm ok Sage whatever you say" she said laughing while I slapped her. I had the worst cover up story ever. it goes something like I found a weird old park and someone tried to jump me and then obviously the whole John thing without the magic. It would be decent if I was a good liar. And Jay could tell something was up i'm surprised that she hasn't demanded I tell her everything.

But today, today's Jays 22nd birthday and I said I would take her anywhere she wanted to go. Of course she picked a club. "Sage come on its not that bad" jay said.
"I mean it's only the biggest club in the UK nah no problem" I said sarcastically. We stood outside the club looking up at it. Jay was wearing a bright, short, red strapless dress which made her light hazel eyes stand out. While I was wearing a short thin strapped black dress with a black leather jacket. which made me look a lot paler than I'd hoped but on the plus side it made my ice blue eyes stand out.
As we entered the club I could already tell that this was going to be a long night. So naturally I bolted to the bar with Justice following me.
"Could we have one Jack and Coke and a red wine please" I asked the bar tender.
"Sure" she smiles at me and went to go get them.
"Don't get smashed now ok" I said to jay in a serious tone.
"I'm not making any promises" she replied with a smirk on her face looking at a tall dark haired man.
"Your gonna leave me aren't you" I said knowing what she had in mind for tonight.
"Yup" she said popping out the p while grabbing her wine.
"Don't wait up for me" she said walking over to where the man was.
"Happy Birthday then!" I shouted at her.
I sighed and sat down drinking my drink, watching people try to dance. Honestly it's the funniest thing I've ever seen. This is what I call entertainment.

"No no no come on not again" I said running to the bathroom. No it's not what you think I'm not about to throw up I can keep down my drink. But sometimes I can feel when a vision is about to come and I can't be in a huge crowd because I'm completely unaware of what's going on around me. And yeah that just scares me. So I thought going into a smaller quite place would help. I made sure there was no one in the bathroom as I locked the door. I ran to the mirror splashing cold water on my face. "Sage..." I heard a faint Voice say.
"No not today not today" I repeated putting my head in my hands. Suddenly I was in a dark room. The voice just kept getting louder and louder until my ears started ringing.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!" I screamed in pain.
"You.." the voice hissed.
"Me? What do you want with me?" I asked
"You belong to us" the voice said.
"What?" I said confused. There was no reply just a piercing scream, It sounded like a man. Oh god what have I gotten into now? Out of nowhere a bright spot light turned on it took a while for my eyes to adjust. Looking up I saw a man where I assume that scream was from... Wait is that John?!
"John?" I asked. There was no reply like he didn't know I was there. I looked around to see where we were. There was a window so I ran to it looking out to what looked like the club. And it just happens to be the club that I'm in doesn't it.
"Great now I'm going to have to try save his dumb ass" I said out loud.

*BANG BANG BANG* "Hello anyone in there" *BANG BANG BANG* "Hello?"
I snapped out of it. I got up rubbing my eyes.
"Sage you in there?" A familiar voice said.
Justice thank god.
"yep it's me" I replied looking at myself in the mirror. Jesus I look like a mess.
"Open up" she said. As I unlocked the door.
"What the hell happened to you?" She said in shock looking at my tear stained face that had mascara running down it.
"I had another vision and I've got to go" I said wiping the mascara off my face.
"Wait aren't you going to tell me?" She said.
"I will I promise... I just- later ok. Happy birthday justice I said hugging her. I'll see you Tomorrow."
"Ok but you better find a man while your gone" she said jokingly.
"Mhm definitely" I said running out of the bathroom and straight out of the club.

"Ok so I need a weapon... Umm.." I said looking around. I found a metal pole by a bin.
"This should do right?" I said unsure.
I walked up to the building where I saw John. Slowly opening the door I entered.
"Hello?" I said waiting for a sound. Why do people say hello in horror films like what is the killer going to jump out and be like Hi, how are you? Anyway, I walked around waiting to find something or someone. I saw blood on the floor, a lot of blood like I just murdered some one amount of blood. I followed the trail which lead me to the basement.
"Why? Why a god damn basement.." I said scared. I heard a bang as I opened the door to the basement. I walked down the stairs and saw John. He was tied up blood all over his shirt and trench coat across the room. Whatever was here is gone now... Thank god.
"John? John hey! I said untying him.
He groaned in pain waking up.
"Hey, come on let's get you out of here" I said grabbing him and his coat. Damn is that man heavy. I ended up carrying him out and taking him to my apartment because where else would I take him? The hospital is ages away and I don't have a car and he was half alive...
