A/N: this one will be mostly written in 3rd pov
"The end of the ice age, the river found but lost, magic's source, Elsa's source."
"Ahtohallan must be the source of her magic." "We keep going, for Elsa."
"The waves are too high!" "Iduna!" "Agnarr!"That's when the blonde woke up in a jump. Even if weeks had passed and everything went back to normal, Elsa could not feel completely okay mentally yet. Her parents had left in order to help her, dying on the way and leaving behind two teenage girls, heartbroken and scared of the future. It had been 6 years since they died, but seeing their ship and how they spent their last moments had opened up that wound again.
Her sister's coronation was going to be later that day, and Elsa was not going to miss it for nothing in the world. At first she struggled to leave her new bed at the Enchanted Forest, but it was getting easier day after day, but the memories from earlier made it way harder today and she needed to get to Arendelle fast to get Anna ready.
Quickly getting herself presentable, she left her place and waved goodbye to her Northuldran friends, making her way towards the river where Nokk was already waiting. In a matter of minutes they were at Arendelle's docks, where the former queen stepped on being gretted immediatly by some staff.
She thanked them heading towards the castle. "You highness" she heard someone call behind her. "Lieutenant Mattias, it's so nice to see you again." She smiled as the man stood infront of her, his arms behind his back. "Everything is ready, you highness. The coronation is set for before lunch time, then follows the lunch with royals and a walk by the kingdom with the Queen."
Elsa gently nodded her head. "Thank you. I shall go now. A certain 'queen to be' must be awaken." They both chuckled as she started to walk away. "And please, call me Elsa. I own you for helping my sister, protecting my father and Arendelle." She looked behind as he nodded, then headed to Anna's bedroom.
As always, she was asleep. Elsa had no idea how to wake her up in a creative way, so all she did was wake her up slowly like on her birthday. "Anna" "yeah?" "Today's the day." Wha..." "It's your day silly" "my... day... what day" Elsa had enough and pulled the covers down, getting a sleepy Anna sitted up trying to reach for them. "Anna, its your coronation day" that was all it took to get the redhead awake and jumping around the room, while the blonde giggled.
"It's my coronation, i cant believe im going to be queen. Im so scared, but why should i be? Its not that hard right? Oh god, what if i screw up? You'd probably be so disappointed and not wanting to be seen next to me anymore." Elsa just chuckled and after time and time trying she managed to grab Anna by the shoulders. "Anna, relax. You're only nervous. Breath in, think about good things and everything will be okay." She said as made her sister sit down on a chair so she could take care of her hair.
"You'll be a great Queen, the people love you. You'll make mistakes yes, but thats how you learn and become better. You have already saved this kingdom twice in a 3 years space, and you'll keep helping them no matter what, I know it. And I could never be dissapointed in you, you are the best sister ever." By the time Elsa was done talking, she had already finished Anna's hair.
"There. Just like mother's." Both girls smiled looking into the mirror before hugging each other. "I miss them." The youngest said still on her sister's shoulder. "They miss you too, and trust me when I say they are proud of what you became." Elsa smiled, she trully wished that they were there right now, seeing how much the ginger girl had grown up over the last 6 years.
"Now, let's get you dressed shall we? You don't want to miss your own coronation." She chuckled as then proceded to help Anna get some parts dressed, leaving her be at the end when things were easier to manage her own hair. All Elsa did was brush it and make a snowflake ornament to place of one of the sides, as long as some snowflakes with Arendelle's symbol in the middle earrings.
"What do you think?" She heard her sister say, when the blonde turned her head she was speachless. "Wow... you look amazing." Anna walked towards her and looked at herself in the mirror. "Woah" they both started to laugh before Elsa handed Anna a small box. "Oh Elsa... you didn't needed" "I wanted to. Plus, they'll look perfect with the outfit."
As Anna opened it, her eyes widen. It was a gorgerous green stone earrings that matched the green on her outfit perfectly. "I love them so much thank you!" She said with a smile before putting them on and hugging her sister as tight as possible. "Let's go let's go let's go! We got no time to waste." And with that, the ginger was out the door leaving a chuckling Elsa behind. "You're welcome." She spoke into the air before following.
The sisters walked down to where the coronation would take place, Elsa had to calm Anna down mutiple times before they actually entered and the ceremony started. How she wished someone had calmed her down on her own coronation. The blonde stood on the sidelines, watching everything with a smile on her face. As for Anna, watching her sister being crowned 3 years ago actually was helping, she was following each step Elsa had taken on that day.
"Sem hon heldr inum helgum eignum ok krýnd í þessum helga stað ek té fram fyrir yðr...Queen Anna of Arendelle." As soon as the priest finishes officially crowning Anna, the crowd says the last words after him. The smile on both sisters never left not even where they were taken to the lunch area to have it with other royals. Elsa was the first to go meet the new queen, of course.
