Winter Love

With my family at last all togheter again, I felt a strange of emptiness yet. What was it about, I'm not sure. But i eventually figured out why.

Ever since very little, our father had been very protective of us no matter in what way, either with kingdoms that wanted either me or my sister to marry their son or even if we played in our secret garden. Our mother as well, but she never showed much. She believed we could find love ourselves and that togheter there was no way we could get hurt. She wasn't wrong.

I remember clearly one time a partner kingdom came for a visit, I was already in my 16's and was able to accompany my parents to see them work as part of my lessons. Apparently the King from the other kingdom had brought his son and our fathers encouraged us to get to know each other better. We chatted for a while and he ended up revealing why they had come, to get my hand in marrige. I told him no and left to my room. Dont get me wrong i told him no due to it not being right and due to my habilities.

I decided to wait for what life would bring to me. 25 years waiting and nothing. As time went on and i saw my parents renew their wedding vows, Anna getting married to Kristoff and becoming the new rulers, Olaf and Sven going on hunts for anything new everyday, I started to feel lonely... to feel that empty that was missing. Sure I had thw spirits with me at the Enchanted Forest but missing the comfort of someone else.

It was not until one lucky winter came, it was after holidays seasons and I had just returned back from spending them with my family in Arendelle. All the Northuldrans I passed by greeted me and I did the same before letting them return to their own traditions. Over the years I figured they had other ways to celebrate them.

As I walked past the fresh falled snow, there was something strange in the air. Magic. But not my own or from the spirits. No, this belonged to someone else.

Staying hidden behind trees I decided to follow that feeling to whereever it lead me till I reached the end of the forest and the start of the sea. On the black sand stooded someone, a boy with white hair, more white than mine. It had to be him with this strange magic. He was staring at the sea but why? What was it about it that kept him focused on it that he didnt even noticed I was here?

What he did afterwards shoocked me. With a simple move of his hand he did a snowflake that was soon flying towards me. Guess he sensed his magic near someone else cause when I looked at him, he had his staff pointed at me.

"Who are you, what are you?" I heard him asking as my hands were on the air. "Hold on. I'm like you" his eyes had confusion on them, but slowly i lowered my hands and kept them infront of me. Soon frost formed and a snowflake was formed, with a push I sent it to him as he lowered his staff to admire it.

"Woah... this is like no other snowflake I ever saw." I chuckled "It's the symbol of union of the nature spirits. Guess it does look like a snowflake." I explained as he watched it vanish. "Wait... you can see me?" Now it was time to get confused, what did he meant with that? "Yes? Wasn't I supposed to?" We both chuckled as I extended my hand and he took it.

"I'm Elsa, by the way."

"Jack Frost"

The next months Jack and I became more close, we knew now each other's stories. How he had been on this planet for 300 years and had never meet someone like him, the only thing he had in commun with the guardians was the fact they were guardians and brought joy to the kids. I soon remembered reading a fantasy book about a boy and his feiends that fought evil, just coincidentaly the boy was called Jack Frost. Guess that how I was able to see him.

The more time we passed togheter my feelings for him changed. He turned from a stranger to a friend to a best friend in about 3 years. He did had his work, but we managed to spend time togheter and have fun. And Arendelle's winters had never been more beautifuller with both of us decorating the streets.

One winter day he told me to meet him where we had meet for the first time, saying he had a surprise for me. Just before I exited the woods I felt some hands cover my eyes. "Frost, I know it's you." I heard a gasp followed by a laugh. "Danm you cold hands." I joined him in laughing. "Are you gonna let go?" "Nop. Got a surprise for you. Do you trust me?" I nodded "then close your eyes and come with me"

Soon I felt his hand in mine as he walked infront of me, making sure I never tripped or falled till we stopped. "Okay you can open them now." As I opened them there was lights everywhere, flower petals on the floor and Jack holding something behind his back. "Elsa... this years I've spent with you were the best ones I have ever experienced... around you i'm happy and I dont feel so lonely like before. You filled up a emptiness in me and that's something I don't wanna fell again." He pulled out a ring and a baby blue rose, the tears were in my eyes already.

"This is a promise ring. I promise to be yours forever and never let you fell sad, if you promise be mine. Elsa, will you be my girlfriend?" At this point the tears had come out and I must have looked terrible, but with a sob i managed to answer him. "Yes. Yes. Millions times yes!" Next thing I knew, he picked me up and we spinned around in the air, and when we returned to the ground and he placed the ring on my finger... I was the happiest person ever.

Taking his face in my hands I pulled him in for a kiss. It felt so magical and so right. We were both looking for the same thing, and ended up finding it with one another. But this, this was just the start of something bigger.
