Snow day

Did I ever mentioned I love the first day of winter? Feeling the fresh snow fall on my face its a amazing feeling! Sure, i can create snow any day of the year, but something about the snow created by nature was amazing. Maybe the fact I didn't needed to make it for some months.

When we were young, Anna and I usted to sneak out in the middle of the night to go play in the garden. Unfortunally, it was right below our parents room and we did got caught sometimes, others they'd come and join us knowing we wouldn't sleep until we played with the freshly falled snow.

It was a time where I hadn't to worry about my powers or even use them, it snows so much here that I don't need to. Usually, we would end up falling asleep after making snow angels and our parents had to carry us back to our room. Thank god we were children still.

There were some storms, and during the bigs ones we gathered around the fire, drinking hot cocoa with me and my sister sitted on each side of either my father or mother, reading stories. We still do it during storms, except we play games instead of reading stories.

For the ice queen herself, the cold of Arendelle never bothered me (except the deeps of Ahtohallan, those freeze anyone to death even me) so I'm not as much clothed as my family when we go out or stay inside, but as a child I guess my parents only wanted me to feel comfortable and warm, and I did.

The best thing about a snow day? Snowballs fights! I'm the queen at them, even if everyone says I cheat which I don't! If I do then so does Jack, when he manages to escape his guardian duties or when he creates a giant storm just to tell North he can't leave Arendelle (he basically does anything to stick around me more which is adorable)

Let me tell you about a time...

It was past Christmas already and I had decided to stay longer than any other year, but told no one except Olaf. He would be my ally in this little play of mine.

The night before I had said goodbye to my family as they went to the docks to watch me go. Gale and Nokk knew the plan already so Nokk was just waiting for me now. "Send a message through Gale when you get there alright? It's very late already." I chuckled. "I will mother, don't worry. They'll make sure I get there safe." I said my goodbyes to each and winked discretely to Olaf. The plan was in action.

I hopped on Nokk and we went towards the fjorde, Gale behind me. "They left already?" Gale moved his leafs up and down as a yes, Nokk slowed down. "Let's go." We went back and Olaf was already on the back door waiting for me. "Psst Elsa" he said whispering. "Hey Olaf, is everyone asleep already?" He shaked his head. "Only Anna and Kristoff, they crashed on the couch." "That's my sister and brother in law alright... what about my parents?" "Still waiting for your note."

I smirked and handed it to him. "Could you deliever this to them, please?" He nodded as took it from my hand and headed inside. I stood outside waiting for my cue to get in. Meanwhile with Olaf...

He walked towards my parents bedroom before knocking. Waiting some minutes, my father came to the door and looked at Olaf. "Hello Olaf, what you got there?" He said as bending down to stay leveled to the snowman. "Elsa's note. Saw it on the balcony and thought I'd come deliever it." He handed the note as my father took it, standing up afterwards. "Thank you. Goodnight" Olaf waved and went away back to where I was.

Father walked towards mother opening the note. "Who was it?" Mother asked as father showed her the note. "Olaf, he found Elsa's note on the balcony." "Weird, usually Gale delievers the notes to the people themselves." They shrugged it off and went to bed after reading it.

Meanwhile with me, I was nearly asleep outside when felt a gust of cold winter pass by me, even with closed eyes i knew what it was. I turned my head to the side to find a questioning Jack leaned on the wall beside me. "I could swear you told your family goodbye and left to go to the forest. Hm... wonder what you're doing here." I chuckled and bumped his arm, which cause a chuckle from him. "Learned with you. I'm going to play a prank on them in the morning."

His face lighted up as he leaned on his staff and flew infront of me. "Tell me all about it snowflake." I touched his nose as he went a little back. "You wished silly." Then he made something I didn't expected. Puppy eyes. "Pretty please" Oh no... he was going to be the death of me... "Fineee" he squealed as we sat down and I told him my plan.

We fell asleep on each others arms the whole night, the morning came fast. The sun hitting my face made me wake up. I knew my family would be up soon. "Jack, wake up. Its time" he mumbled a little before opening his eyes and standing up.

I walked into the castle and he immediatly picked me up in his arms bridal style, so that my steps weren't heard by anyone. As Olaf slowly opened Anna's bedroom door, Jack and I flew to the celling right above her bed. Thank god the beds had some kind of fabric covering the top, it was good enough for us to hide.

Making a small snowflake with my finger, i made it land on my sister's nose. She felt it, for she then rubbed it. I then made a snowball and tossed it at her, which caused her to jump up. "Elsa?" She asked sleepy. Me and Jack holded our breath and laugh and headed towards the exit, but before we left I tossed another one at her.

Next it was my parents, we did the same thing to them except I actually did to both now. Oh, I was going to be in so much trouble. The rest of the day we followed my family, scaring them with my snowballs, sometimes Olaf or the snowgies were in the room and they thought Olaf was playing with his little brothers but no, it was all part of the plan!

Night came and they all vanished, we couldn't find them anywhere in the castle so we decided to check the guardens. "Where could they be?" I whispered loud enough for Jack to hear. "Maybe they went to town?" He said, I shrugged and turned back towards the door only to be hitted with snowballs seconds later.

Turning around, I saw my family with snowballs in hand. "It's payback time, sis." Anna said as she threw a ball in my direction. "Ohhh it's Game on!"

So yeah, after that little play of mine I did got in trouble for telling my parents I was already at the forest when I was actually in Arendelle still. But that didn't stopped us from messing around, its like we had gotten a extension of vacations. It felt amazing spending time with them all just like before, with a few new adds to the family of course.
