Idk about yall but sometimes I imagine nick having a Jersey accent even tho he's not from there lol

"Thank you Stacy," I said as we got ready to leave. "I really appreciate you helping out," Nick said. "Your welcome, I would ask why your buying fake fancy dresses and getting haircuts but I know you Nick, you haven't changed one bit," She said.

Nick stared at Stacy not able to say anything.

"Goodbye," She said. "Stacy listen, I'm about to come into some cash, why don't we hang out in a few days?" He asked. Chloe groaned loudly in the background. "I told you I'm not looking for anything right now," Stacy said. "I'm not asking for anything, just let me take you out as friends," He said.

Stacy's demeanor didn't change, she just looked tired. "I don't want any part in your shady ass life. Don't take me out with money you didn't earn, because I know whatever your about to do isn't legal and I'm not going down that road with you again," She said.

She looked at me. "You seem like a nice girl, way out of place with them. Just take my advice, I know how this shit pans out. I put up with it and even though it pays off sometimes, when it doesn't its really bad. Don't let yourself get dragged down with this," She said. I blinked not knowing what to say.

"I said I was sorry, I never ment to hurt you Stacy," Nick said. She looked down. "Well you did," She said. "Nick tell you he did two years in Nevada State Penitentiary?" Stacy said staring at Nick. "He got out last year," She said. "Don't get yourself involved with this mess," She said.

My anxiety was picking up. Was I really thinking this through? I for sure didn't want to go to jail. Nick said it himself, the job was was nice and easy. Just slip in and out, nobody will even notice.

I looked over at Nick. What did he go to prison for?

"Bye, Stacy," Nick said. I waved goodbye at them as we went back up the stairs.

We walked through the house cutting through people and went outside. Will unlocked the car and we climbed in driving off.

The car ride was silent, I think everyone had a lot to think about.

After dropping Nick off we headed back to the hotel. Will was being so quiet, it was starting to drive me insane, why didn't he have anything to say?

"So uh-tomorrow's the big day," I said. Will's poker face didn't change. "You nervous?" I asked. "If your scared Maria, you don't have to do it," He said. I looked at him. The haircut was really doing it's job. It framed his face so his jawline was more prominent. "No, that's not it I'm just nervous," I said.

Before I knew it I was looking at him again. My heart kept beating faster, why did he have to be so-so him? Was he thinking about me the way I thought about him? Should I ask before I said yes?

I just needed to wait till we got to the hotel. Somewhere I could escape just in case it doesn't go the way I hope.

Will pulled into the parking lot. We got out of the car and headed into the hotel. I was feeling tingly everywhere. The anticipation was eating me alive. We both silently climbed into the elevator and rode it up to our room.

Will opened the door to our room and we stepped in.

I took my shoes off and went to sit on the end of the bed. I looked up to see Will leaning his back against the door, his broad shoulders more noticeable, hands in his pocket, standing right across from me on the other side of the room. He stared at me like he was waiting for something, for the go ahead.
