The place was huge. It took up every store in the shopping center. They were all fronts for it. Inside was dim, no windows. Everything painted black and purple curtains hung everywhere.
Naked women everywhere. Dancing on poles in nothing but thongs, serving food to the many men seated everywhere.
Some were even having sex. "Stay quiet," He whispered in my ear. I didn't even have anything to say. What could I do? There were men in every corner with huge guns, this was far beyond anything I knew.
I had no choice but to do as Will said. There was nowhere to run.
He dragged me along with him through the club, the further we strayed in the more of it I got to see. A sunken in floor with a pool at the bottom. Chandeliers lining the ceiling. The carpet was a purple velvet. The bar was long, stretched very far with a huge wall of alcohol behind it. The place was packed and a bit luxurious, nothing like the town outside of it.
"кто ты, черт возьми?" A man approached us. He short, fat and bald wearing an all black suit with a grey blazer and a gold chain.
"Miko, here for Miko," Will made clear. The man furrowed his eyebrows. "Miko? What do you know of Miko?" He replied back in a thick Russian accent. "I'm here to see him," Will said.
The Russian man's eye narrowed at Will then he chuckled lightly. "Do you wish for death or can you offer?" He spoke brokenly. "I'm here for Miko, I used to work for him, stalnyye ruki?" He said.
The mans face fell. "Jesus, ты еще жив?" He said. Will stared at him blankly. "What? You don't remember me?" He said. Now it was Will's turn to narrow his eyes.
"Book Keeper," He said smiling at Will. "Dimitri?" Will questioned. "Yes, now why here? I thought you finish?" He said. "I'm doing a job," Will said.
Dimitri paused for a moment and looked at me. "Job? Nobody said nothing of job," He said. Will lifted the suitcase. "I'm supposed to take this money across the river, I was told to come and clean it," He said.
"Ahh, not the girl?" Dimitri asked. "No, I'm taking her, she's part of the job," Will said. Dimitri nodded slowly. "Across the river?" He asked. Will stayed silent. "That is not easy stalnyye ruki," He said. "I know, I need the money," Will said. "Yes, always looking for money, stalnyye ruki," Dimitri said dragging out his words.
He motioned for is to follow him.
Will yanked me forcefully with him. Dimitri led us further into the club towards the other side where the other stores should have been. We reached a red door with two guards holding AK-47s, Dimitri opened it to reveal a set of staircases leading downward. We followed him in.
It was pitch black, the only light illuminating was the light at the end of the staircase. I could see brown packages in the shape of bricks stacked up against the wall.
When we reached the bottom Dimitri led us towards the left. It was a long hallway with many doors, unlike upstairs everything was normal, white walls with brown wooden doors. More brown bricks stacked up against the wall. When we reached the end of the hallway Dimitri opened the door for us.
A cloud of déjà-vu hit me, a dim room full of men and smoke clouds. I was still pressed up against Will, I could feel his heart beating faster. If he was nervous then I was beyond nervous. I could feel myself getting light headed, maybe it was the smoke or all the machine guns but I was not okay.
