With most of the fauna dead
The remaining are trying to live
All I can do is watch them as always
Physical help is something I can't giveAs I watch an animal walk by
I hear that familiar bang
The animal falls down, blood spilling
That shot really rangA human dressed in green walks to the body
He drags the body away
I want to stop him, but I am rooted in place
Here I am forced to stayWhat was I supposed to do?
Nature made me unable to move
I understand animals killing for food
But humans kill more than is the natural grooveDid the humans have something to do
With the animals' mysterious deaths?
Did man poison the water?
How they did it is anyone's guess
