Mazephobic! Reader
Outside the killing game!
Mazephobia is the fear of being lost and it is a very real problem for tens of thousands each year. You will not find mazeophobia in the dictionary as it is a newer word. Still, the fear is not new and it can severely hinder travel experiences. (Defintion straight from google)
God, I can see why this man lost all 12 of his sister while traveling.
Rantaro thought it was a good day to go do some exploring. We didn't go to far from home, but still far enough to where I didn't know the way back. While walking around the town he suddenly vanished, he probably got intrigued by something and got distracted. But that leads up to where I am now. In a unknown town, surrounded by strangers, full of dark alleyways, separated from the only person you knew, and on the verge of a panic attack.
It was slowly getting harder to breathe, so you had to step away from the crowd. It's fine, Rantaro will find me eventually. Will he though, I mean what about his 12 sisters he hasn't found yet. The more I think the worse everything gets, my head is pounding, I can barely breathe, and I still have no idea where Rantaro is. I would contact him, but I have no signal.
Breathe. It's gonna be alright, you're not lost just... in the wrong spot? Who am I kidding, I'm definitely lost. I'm never gonna get back home, Rantaro will just leave me behind, and I will just die here. At this point my vision was slightly blurring. I had to slowly guide myself to a bench.
--------
Rantaro's point of view
How could I lose her?! This is going to be like all of my sisters all over again! Oh god, and they are probably freaking out right now. I have to find them, and fast!
I walk around the middle of town for a while, but I decide to look where there wasn't many people since that's probably where they would go.
Its been 30 minutes since I lost her, anything could've happened to her!?
I continue my search, looking around the quieter parts of town. After another 10 minutes, I see someone sitting on a bench.
-------------
(y/n) point of view
Breathe, just breathe. You're perfectly fine.
"(y/n)!" A voice calls out. I look up to see Rantaro running towards me.
Thank god.
Rantaro sits beside me and pulls you into a hug. At first I tried to get out of it, since I felt a little trapped. But I eased into it, and started to calm down a bit.
"I'm so sorry (y/n)! I didn't mean to walk off!" Rantaro says, crying some. I just hugged him tighter.
"If I would've found you sooner you wouldn't be this shooken up." He whispers. Rantaro starts to play with my hair, trying to calm me down. Soon enough my breathing normalized, but the headache was still there.
"You ready to go home, (y/n)" He asks.
"yeah" I respond. He slowly gets up and offers me and hand. I take it and he pulls me up and close by him.
"Are you good enough to walk? Is anything numb?" Rantaro asks worryingly.
"I think I'm good enough to walk." I respond. He nods and wraps and arm around your waist, making sure not to lose you again.
