*3rd person's POV*
Jeongyeon woke up with a rather horrible headache and she went to drink some water and make her hangover soup for herself.
What happened last night?
My god just how much did I drink last night?
Did the bartender really bring me here? How did he know where I live? I might've told him. He helped me a lot last night.
She settled on the table with the soup and looked through her phone.
@sonchae wants to follow you.
Her eyes went wide for a second but her mind reminded her of another thing.
"Good bye for real this time Jeongyeon-ah"
"What the.."
"Momo?"
"Hi!" Momo waved her hands smiling sheepishly
"How did you get inside?"
"You don't remember?"
"No. Did something happen? did I? Did we? I mean-"
"No no no no, of course not, nothing happened" Momo blushed and sat on the chair across Jeongyeon. Jeongyeon got up and made her a cup of coffee.
"I don't drink coffee anymore." Jeongyeon widened her eyes and chuckled a bit.
"What?"
"Nothing, you out of all people stopped drinking coffee?"
"It was not good for my health."
"Oh okay then I should-" Momo grabbed the cup from her hands before Jeongyeon could react. Jeongyeon smiled at her and sat down on her chair.
"So..." Jeongyeon said the first words after some time. It was awkward for both of them and they sure could feel it.
"I should get going... I"
"No no ahh stay, it's okay. I wanted to talk to you." Jeongyeon said looking at Momo.
"Me too."
"Oh. You first then."
"Why?"
"I just wanted to hear what you wanted to say to me."
"I'm going back..." Momo looked down as she said that and Jeongyeon's face fell but she quickly looked away as Momo looked up.
"To America?"
"Yeah and then back to Japan."
"I thought you had a job there."
"Yeah, I do.. well I did anyway. I quit, well technically I didn't have to because I only stayed to finish this contest and now that it's over, there really is no reason.... to stay." Momo gripped her cup and looked away from Jeongyeon. Jeongyeon looked down and thought for a bit.
"I-"
"I should get going Jeongyeon-ah, I have to pack and my flight is soon."
Momo got up, placing the cup on the table and went out before Jeongyeon could say anything.
"I missed you... *Sigh*" She looked down and sighed again.
*Momo's POV*
I walked out of my apartment grabbing my bags. I diligently checked everything twice before heading out.
Should I go say bye one more time?
I sighed as I found myself going towards her apartment. I hesitated a bit before ringing the doorbell but even after 5 rings there were no signs of any living thing inside, so I decided to leave.
I sighed again as I called the elevator. It opened to reveal a man maybe around his 40s. He smiled at me and I returned the greeting as I entered. I pressed the ground button.
"I know this is cheesy but I should say it, because I want to and I have to."
Those words.
I looked up to the man but he continued to face ahead.
"Maybe this is early and I may or may not be crazy but I have to do this for us. I met you when we were both 16 and even though we fight a lot, I don't want to be with anyone else anymore."
"How did you get that?"
"I didn't believe in soulmates before I met you and you made me believe in it. I didn't know a lot of things but we grew together. I still think how lucky I am even single day just to be with you because "you really are something else". Writing this down in a note feels even more weird because I don't do this ever and I'm doing this now, because I'm nervous. I don't know why, maybe because of the fact that you could say no. I can't hold this secret anymore, so here it goes. You are my other half Jeongyeon-ah-"
*Elevator clicks open*
Momo's eyes went wide when she saw Jeongyeon down on her knees holding a box with a ring inside.
"So will you complete me?" Jeongyeon completed the sentence the man didn't finish. Jeongyeon didn't know what to expect. Momo was also frozen, she didn't know what to do or say.
Jeongyeon was about to put down the ring and get up when Momo hugged her and they fell down together. They both laughed and got up.
"We didn't talk for more than 5 minutes after seeing eachother yesterday how can you still do this?" Momo asked and Jeongyeon smiled.
"I have to Momo-yah. It's okay even if you say no because I hate this. I hate all of this and I missed everything, I missed being with you, I missed talking to you, I missed you, everything about you Momo. I still... love you, it's not like I ever stopped anyway. I know for a fact that if I don't do this right now, I may not be able to do this ever again and you might go away again. I let go of you once and I don't think I can do that one more time and I know you hate this too, so this is it. If you say no I can move on finally, we both can."
"I.... So you want me to say no?" Jeongyeon's eyes widened as Momo chuckled.
"I mean if you have to.."
"Pabo-yah it's a yes."
Jeongyeon almost dropped he ring as Momo kissed her.
"I missed you Momoring so so much" Jeongyeon said as her eyes gave her emotions away. She put the ring on her finger and chuckled looking at it. They interlinked their fingers as both faced each other. They both noticed they were crying and this made them both laugh.
"I have seen this ring somewhere before."
"Ahhh, did you?"
"Isn't this the one you always wear?" Momo asked as she looked down at Jeongyeon's hand. Just like she expected the ring Jeongyeon wore every day for the past 8 years was missing from her hands and both of them chuckled.
"This whole proposal was the most spontaneous thing I have ever did in my entire life."
"Who is that man?"
"That's the bartender from yesterday, you don't remember him?"
"What? I might not have noticed his face yesterday because of a drunk idiot who kept blabbering until she passed out." Momo's words made Jeongyeon smile showing all of her teeth like a little kid.
"Come here" Jeongyeon pulled Momo in for another kiss.
"I missed you Jeongyeon-ah" Momo said between their kiss. Resting their foreheads together they smiled at each other.
"I love you Yoo Jeongyeon."
"I love you too Momo-yah."
*******
A/n: *cries*
The man aka the bartender in the elevator was reading the note that Momo had written to propose Jeongyeon in the first book. Do you remember about the note Jeongyeon puts in her bag before she leaves? Yeah this is that.
Also I hope you get the proposal scene.
In the first book if you go back and read carefully you will see that Jeongyeon uses the phrase "really something else" a lot. That's why Momo's proposal note had that line.
