It was a winter night, cold enough to send shivers down your back, when I found myself alone in my dining room.
The dining room, situated in the ground floor had enrobed itself in darkness . Everything was pitch black and it seemed as if the darkness was casting a spell upon me causing it to seep into my veins. My body had lost its warmth , I felt paralyzed and too shocked to do anything as I tried to reconstruct what had happened earlier...
The mundane ticking of the grandfather clock rippled in the eerie stillness of the atmosphere giving off a stench of uncertainty.
I had never sleepwalked before, maybe this was the first time.....

The time passed by, slowly. Each moment growing more and more difficult to endure.

With a loud creek, the backdoor opened causing a streak of yellow tinged light to fall on the wooden dining table. A silhouetted figure stepped in holding a lamp which shone like a blister amidst the overpowering darkness. His face grew clearer as he crossed the threshold. ...
