"Bitch it's about damn time. I been waiting for you for like an hour."
"It's was only 20 minutes Belly. Shut up."
Belcalis had been begging Kehlani and Lizzo to go out together for over a week now since Liz got back from school. And strangely all she wanted to do was go to dinner. They expected she wanted to go to some wild ass club, but she said since she works at one every day and she wanted something different. That was growth for a wild child like Belly.
Lani had been working a lot lately doing tats and trying to keep her love life as far away from her other best friend as possible. Belly would take the shit with Chris and go crazy. Not something she wanted to deal with. Especially since the two of them were taking things agonizingly slow.
Liz on the other hand was doing everything she could not to jump Dave at every chance she could get. He wasn't making it easy on her either. He was just as sex starved as she was when it came to each other. She was under no impression that he had been as celibate as she had, but she knew that he wasn't checking for anyone but her. She did have her suspicions that there may be something going on with him and that new girl Dream, but she kept that jealousy monster in check...mostly.
"You lyin'. It been like an hour. I watched a full episode of ... what was that shit called Lani?"
"Charmed, girl." Lani laughed.
"Yeah, Charmed. Beginning credits to end credits bitch. If we late to this reservation don't expect me to come to one of your lil' dinners anymore."
"Bitch ain't nobody ask you to come in the first place." Liz rolled her eyes.
"Yeah the fuck right. If I ain't there y'all gone be bored as hell."
"Whatever Belcalis."
"Now Why you gotta put my government out there like that?"
"Ain't nobody here but us."
"Shhh. The feds watchin' from everywhere. Even our phones."
"Of course they are."
That girl was too damn much. Even on the way to the restaurant she was jumpy and excited. Liz and Lani love her all the more because where they were dark and moody, Belly always found a way to make them smile. Especially in their darkest hours. And they always kept her grounded so she didn't lose herself like she almost had before. It was a balance between the three and a bond no one could break. Try as they might.
When they got to the restaurant the hostess led them to their table. Belly picked a really nice restaurant. Liz was proud. It wasn't too fancy that the food portions were too small. She could tell by looking at the other tables full of food. But it was definitely classier than their usual go-to's.
The three of them ordered and as they waited for their food another group of people showed up and they couldn't believe what they were seeing.
Saweetie had her arms locked around that nigga Quavo's. The bitch moves fast for someone who claimed to want Dave in her life so bad. Kiari was also with them. That wasn't abnormal since Quavo and Kiari were related, but the nigga behind them made Liz very uneasy. He was tall as hell - had to be about 6'6 - covered in tats. His eyes were pretty but the rest of him was rugged. Describing him reminded her a lot of Dave, but they couldn't be any more different.
"I know the fuck you lyin'!" Belly said loud enough for them to hear.
Kiari quickly made his way over to his wife while the other three stared at their table. Two confused and one glaring awfully hard at Liz.
"Hey, baby. I ain't know y'all was comin' here."
"I ain't know you was a traitor either nigga."
"Stop actin' like that."
