chapter 7.1 : The trident

Couple of days passed since the dual has  happened, Adviti along with Aakriti went to Prashant palace ( saint abode ) to meet the saint . Since Adviti completed her education she has to offer guru dakshina ( a tradition of repaying teacher for teaching  like a fees in modern days) .

   At the time they reached the Prashant palace the saint was meditating under a tree . They both went near to him and stood adjacent to him & waited for him to  open his eyes. After a few minutes saint opened his eyes, looked at Adviti & said  " my child what do you expect me to do with diamonds & gold which of no use for me .You can take  them away with you " . After saying these words he closed his eyes to meditate. ( Because he has spiritual powers without Adviti spoke he understood why she came he knew that she came with gold and diamonds  to offer him ,since those are of no use for him he simply rejected ).
     
      Adviti with hands folded in gesture  of namaste said oh guru Dev, ( teacher ) whatever I'm today it's all because of you .If you didn't show me the path I would not have reached my destination . You are like torch bearer for me . If you don't accept my fees I will feel guilty for my entire life please kindly accept my offering.

      Saint with a pleasant smile  spoke my child you don't need to offer me anything . Having  student like you  was enough for me , Still if you insist there is a thing that you can offer me as guru dakshina.

   " What is it guru Dev ? Tell me I assure you that I can bring anything  for you no matter how difficult it is"
said Adviti.
    

    It is not as easy as you think my child , I'm delighted that you said those words .But I cannot let you put life in harm spoke saint.

    Guru Dev you don't trust your student ? Please guru Dev have trust on me no matter what you  want I can bring it to you even if I have to risk my life for that it doesn't matter for me guru Dev.
    
     My child I trust you but, it not a normal thing that everyone can obtain easily it needs devotion , dedication and patience and luck to obtain it. I myself tried but failed .

  Curiosity of Adviti raised as saint repeatedly warning her  about the thing. She again questioned what is it Guru Dev ?

        It's a trident answered saint .

   A trident ! Exclaimed both Adviti and Aakriti .

      Yes a trident . It's the weapon with which goddess Kanka Durga ( Hindu warrior goddess ) killed demon king mahishashura ( demon in ancient times of India ) .Lord Indra did a penance on a mountain named Indrakeeladri and requested Kanka Durga to stay there forever in idol form after she killed demon mahishashura . She remained there as idol along with the trident Said saint.

    Where is the Indrakeeladri located guru Dev ?  asked Adviti on the banks of river Krishna in a kingdom named Elore replied saint.

    I will leave for Elore tomorrow guru Dev I will take Aakriti along with me guru Dev .Bless me guru Dev .

      Saint blessed her and warned her to be careful and told her pray to kanaka Durga before trying to touch it.

Kingdom Elore:

    Prince Vikram standing at the  balcony of his chamber looking at the moon and stars which are twinkling like diamonds in the black sky . Cool breezes  from mountains of Eastern ghats touching his  loose silky hair strings .

    It's been so long since he traveled out of kingdom . The last time he traveled was 6 months back. So he was thinking where to travel this time .

      A guard came in & told that  dinner was ready to serve and left . Prince went into dinning hall where king and queen already started having dinner by the time he arrived .As they were eating prince told them that he want to travel .

   King looked at him and asked  "where are you planning to go Vikram" . I don't know dad replied Vikram.

    I have traveled our entire kingdom there is no place that's left to visit . He added.

    you haven't traveled our entire kingdom there is one place that you haven't traveled in our kingdom said king .
    
    What is that dad ? How come I don't know about a place in our kingdom ? asked prince.

       You haven't been there because I never told that a place exist in our kingdom Said king .

     Why you didn't me about it dad prince asked .
 
     Because I thought you would put yourself in danger  at that time because you were a kid then but now you are grown up man a warrior prince now I think you should go there  and have a look at the palace and learn about the local government there so that you can rule that area well replied king .

    Queen who was hearing conversation stopped king for telling more . She looked at prince and said if you are willing to travel you can go to Andhra my child . Your uncle's kingdom . It will be interesting for you since Adviti will be there .She would have grown up by now . It's been 10 years since you visited the kingdom .

     Prince wasn't interested in going to Andhra now as he was curious about a place which king and queen trying to hide from .

     Mom, stop I don't want to visit Andhra now I can visit it next time now I want to visit the palace that I didn't know exists .

     It's a dangerous place I cannot let you go there  said queen .

  Mom come on I'm a warrior please let me go said prince .

No way queen shouted .king interfered and told her to let him go .

   King then spoke son you are going to that place by two days from now. The place name is Amaravati ancient capital of Elore located near banks of Krishna .But you have to go in north direction not South direction as it would be dangerous and full of spirits and wild animals .Towards north you can go by crossing towns and villages . You can get to more about our culture.

       Prince thanked king and said that he will go towards north direction and left after finishing dinner .
